Chapter 20 I still wasn’t asleep at three a.m., as the bright red numbers on my bedroom clock were all too happy to tell me. After Jackie finally fell asleep, I drifted off, but fell straight into a dream of a rain-slick parking lot and someone screaming. What was that name they were yelling over and over – and who was yelling it? I was pretty sure I had heard it clearly in my dream, but I could no longer remember it. Had I ever known it, or was it part of what I had lost to blackout and trauma? There were so many things about that night I couldn’t remember clearly.
