Chapter 7 Professor Andrew Mann lived in a tiny, cramped little house on a tree-lined street on the outskirts of the campus. If he’d been able to somehow make it a more remote location I’m quite sure he would have, but the university had its list of available housing and that was that. The place was not only uncomfortably small but messy, stacked halfway to the ceiling with boxes he had never bothered to unpack. Boxes of books and boxes of papers, stacks of yellowing academic journals, even a box of topographical survey maps and a crate of old lightbulbs.
