Instantly Hershey's words made Alex stunned so he didn't know what to say, then he could only look down while watching the shiny blade of his sword, as a weapon that would accompany him to fight all enemies and then grow stronger. On the other hand, Alex was also very happy that Hershey had finally put her trust on him.
Then Hershey spoke again. "Having the determination to kill might sound bad to most people, but for us the sword racers, it means something greater... Because we don't kill to satisfy our desires, but we kill to survive the threat of evil forces and bad guys who have use their power to cause harm to innocent people."
"I- i understand."
"There's one more thing I want to tell you… Combining the power of your shield and the power of your sword is indeed a very brilliant thing, but your combination attack is still not balanced, because your sword power is still at level 1… Imagine if your two strengths were already balanced When you combine the power of your shield and the elemental power of your sword into one… Then surely your attack power will be on par with those who has power level 3."
"Wow." Alex just stood with his mouth agape.
"So tomorrow get ready to practice again with me."
"O- okay."
"And you must also be prepared to get killed." Hershey said with a cold expression on her face.
Instantly that made Alex's expression turn into fear, then he answered.
"Hiiiiiii..."
But suddenly the atmosphere turned tense, when Alex's body suddenly collapsed for no reason and he fainted on the spot, while Hershey who saw this was immediately shocked so she tried to wake Alex up. But Hershey was shocked when she saw there was a stun bullet that pierced Alex's neck, it indicated that someone had shot Alex from a distance. Because of that, Hershey became more aware of her surroundings.
Apparently from a distance there was indeed a woman watching them with a sniper rifle, the woman was wearing a gray Soldier outfit, with black hair tied in 2 ponytails, and she was on her stomach while aiming. After the woman managed to shoot Alex, her next target was Herhsey.
So without further ado she quickly fired another bullet that shot straight at Hershey, but Herhsey was apparently able to block the attack by using her sword without seeing the direction of the bullet's arrival. Then even though sniper girl was surprised because Hershey managed to block her shot, then the sniper girl fired several bullets at the target again, but this time the bullet didn't go straight but twisted like a bee, so Hershey was shocked and almost hit by a bullet due to a miscalculation, but fortunately she managed to dodge all the shots that could turn direction, and then Hershey casually managed to block every shot that was aimed at her without stopping move, so it made the sniper girl feel annoyed.
Then suddenly another figure came to Hershey place, namely a woman who was also wearing a gray uniform. It was the blonde beauty woman who had stalked Alex last night from a distance, and was also talking to Richard Snyder on the phone last night.
While walking leisurely, the blonde haired woman spoke through the earpiece attached to her ear to give instructions to the sniper girl who was still aiming at Herhsey.
"Liliana, stop shooting... Let me take care of this woman." Said the blonde haired woman. And apparently the sniper girl's name is 'Liliana'
Then Hershey immediately asked the blonde woman.
"Let me guess, are you guys is the members of infamous GRIM Taskforce?"
"Hmm, yeah... You're right."
"Look, we are not terrorists, we have no malicious intention at all." Hershey said.
"We don't have any malicious intentions either... But according to the laws laid down by the government, any activity of a sword wielder is strictly prohibited, and from what I've seen here, the sword power you guys possess is a threat... especially the power of that boy (She is referring to Alex). He has very rare shield and sword power, therefore we have to take him for further investigation." Said the blonde haired woman.
"I won't let you do that." Hershey replied as she readied her sword to attack.
When she watch closely the figure of that blonde woman, Hershey was surprised because he saw a necklace with a pendulum of ice crests wrapped around the neck of that GRIM taskforce member, and it made Hershey can conclude that this enemy was a shield race with dangerous powers.
And sure enough, without warning, the blonde woman immediately launched an attack to Hershey, which was a cold and pointed ice elemental attack. She quickly sent chunks of pointed ice that spread to where Hershey was standing, so Hershey also immediately used his earth elemental power to match the ice attack, then there was a hard collision between the ice attacks against the rock attacks that destroyed each other in that place.
Then suddenly the air around them turned cold and foggy, which made Hershey's level of vigilance even higher, and occasionally she looked at Alex behind her who was lying unconscious to make sure that the Holy knight was okay. After all, Hershey is a member of the Wind Faction who is responsible for Alex's safety, therefore she will do her best to protect Alex from the threats of the GRIM Taskforce soldiers.
