I WAS used to waking up being cold and fragile. After all, it had been that way for as long as I could remember. I remembered one night, I woke up with a raging headache, due to sleeping in such a freezing state that my brain was freezing inside my head. I remembered waking up to my stomach growling, screaming, all the organs inside my body were crawling on its legs trying to survive the hunger that blinded me, and it was such an excruciating pain. I remembered I could not feel my face like it was paralyzed on one side, because I slept on a hard floor all night. The hard cement was planted against my face. All of those memories were what made me who I was today. I was strong, and I felt like I could get away from everything. I could sleep through everything, every storm, and every calamit
