“YOU FIRED all your saddles,” I said with a tone as dry as I could. Seeing Rhys sitting on the dais, on his throne, looking outrageously bored out of his mind made me remember our last encounter at the chair, and it made the blood in my body boil. For some reason, I felt humiliated, but liberated at the same time, which only fueled the shame in my mind.
