When Jayden returned with their breakfast packets after what seemed like an hour to Emily, he was still near the door when she confronted him.
"Jayden," She hiccuped.
He was going to ignore her and walk ahead but she grabbed his forearm.
"Listen to me, please." He was forced to lift his eyes and meet with hers.
His eyes set agape in shock because they were red and watering. It had only been ten minutes to his leave, he had not assumed that she would dishevel her state by crying hysterically, making herself look like she had been devastated for hours.
"Please give it back to me." She sobbed beggingly. Her blue pearls twinkling in persistence.
His mouth opened then closed. Jayden focused on the motions of her pupils as they declined to his chest to stare at the full moon pendant.
