Chapter 3
“Hey, Jude,” Rex said, smiling when the door opened.
Jude rolled his eyes. “Ask me how many times I’ve heard that over the years.”
He laughed. “Sorry.”
“No, problem. Can I call you T-Rex?”
Rex stared. “T-Rex?”
“Just thinking, you know, you being from Texas and all. Tex Rex sounds too long, doesn’t it?”
He smirked. “It definitely does. Ready?”
Damn, Jude looked good enough to eat. Rex loved the way the black sweater he wore hugged his defined muscles. Drooling on the first date probably wouldn’t get him a second, though.
“Yes.” Jude stepped out onto the landing, closed the door and locked it.
“Is everything okay?” Rex noticed Jude’s eyes looked just a little red. “How’s Sebastian?”
