The second time Sophia woke up, she was alone. The room was dark as the curtains covered the windows. Every window and door was closed and probably locked. She noticed that she was wearing clean clothes, a dress. It reached her ankles and its colour was light purple. Her feet were bare.
She sighed and this time managed to get out of bed without him lying her back down. She, then, remembered where she was and started freaking out. She ran towards the door and tried to open it but it was locked from the outside.
She looked around the room and ran to the next door she saw which lead to a walk-in closet. Frustrated, she ran a hand through her brown locks and ran to the next door, only to be greeted by the bathroom.
She ran to the windows, her feet hitting the ground making a loud noise, only to notice that they were also locked and placed her hand on the glass. She watched as little kids and families played and had picnics outside. She noticed some wolves running around the woods who she thought were the ones that were patrolling the area and borders. There wasn't a way out.
She was trapped!
"Well, I see that you're awake. Good! You need to eat and maybe your brother will shut up when he sees you" she heard a voice say from behind her and she turned around to see that it was the guy that brought her here.
She titled her head to the right and run a hand through her hair. "Where's my brother?" her voice gave off that she was worried which she was. She wanted her brother to be here, hold her in his arms and tell her that everything would be okay as long as they are together.
Demetri chuckled, looking down. "You'd actually make a great Luna... Follow me" he walked out of the room and she ignored his comment before following him. She didn't want to be a Luna as she wasn't the Alpha's mate, you can't force a mate bond.
The halls of the castle were giant and decorated with paintings of the royal family. The last picture they passed, before entering a room was the previous King's. He had a bright smile on his face, his arm around his wife while his sons were sitting on his legs. The family seemed really happy and didn't deserve what happened to them.
Demetri stopped walking "Marcus, your sister has woken up" he chuckled at his use of words before coughing and saying it again with his own words. "Dude, your sister is here" Sophia almost laughed at his words but she didn't have time as her brother appeared in a matter of seconds and hugged her tightly.
"Sophie" he sighed in relief "Are you okay? What happened?" she hugged back, smiling brightly. Her smile lit up the whole room, castle and Demetri nodded once before leaving the room, not before opening the windows of the room.
After explaining everything to him, Sophia hugged him one more time. "Never again. We aren't getting separated ever again because family together.." she waited for him to finish her sentence and smiled when he did. "forever".
Someone coughed and got their attention. At the door stood the Alpha King, Theodore Apollo Chase, not wearing a crown on his head, his clothes all black. Sophia hid behind her brother and watched him with cautious eyes. "Does she know?" The King asked, looking at her. Marcus shook his head. "No".
"Do you want me to tell her?" he asked, his eyes not leaving Sophia's and for some reason, she didn't want him to look away. Marcus shook his head again "I'll tell her". The King looked away from her meeting her brother's eyes before nodding once and leaving the room, without another word spoken.
"Tell me what?" she asked, walking in front of her brother. He grabbed her hands and pulled her to sit on the sofa behind them. The room had a King-sized bed opposite the door and a sofa next to it. Two windows along with three paintings decorated the walls while a carpet decorated the floor. Everything was either silver or black.
"Remember I told you to tell Alpha Matthew that the King had found what he was looking for?" she nodded and he continued. "He was looking for his mate, Sophie. Remember when you were thirteen and we were walking in the woods when a black wolf found us?" he asked again and she nodded, not getting why that had to do with anything. "That was him, Sophia"
"But what does that have to do with the fact he is looking for his mate?" she asked, tilting her head to the left. She is an exact replica of their mother which made him feel a little better as he remembered that she is watching them from above. Marcus closed his eyes, taking a deep breath to relax his nerves. Sophia ran a hand through her hair, getting frustrated. She wanted to know and she wanted to know now.
"You're his mate, Sophie"
