Everyone in the room gasps in surprise including me but I still held her securely.
"So what if she's a witch your one too" I say confused
"It's not just about her being a witch she's different from me and other witches you know"
"How so?" Mom asks
"She's a sifer witch" Sage answers
"What does that mean?" Brandon asks
"It means unlike normal witches who were born with magical power she has none. She is able to channel magic but she doesn't have any magic of her own"
"How does that even work?"
"Sifer witches are the anomalies of our world. In the past they were seen as evil abominations and would be hunted and killed not by hunters alone but also other witches. They were believed to have all died out in the 1800s so it baffles me as to how this child is here"
