"Chapter 9" The proposal of a new job, and an insult

Everyone was so stunned to see Aria with that handsome stud. All eyes were on her, and that's the reason Kevin stepped out of the ward.

"So Ms. Aria," he said.

" Where are we going?" She replied and see that wound still on his hand.

"How is it now?" She said and he nods blissfully.

" You touched me how can I be that pain got remain with," He makes her smile softy.

" So what do you want from me? I mean what you can explain right now you can't explain this in that email, and I want to clear you,"

"I appreciate that you did so much effort and comes to me to meet me to convince me but I can't, I have no such time", Aria explained.

"Aria, I know you are devoted to your job, and you love doing this, but you have to remember you are thousands of times more loved with your passion",

"Don't let your duty seize your dreams your passion, I know currently what you are performing is not related to your dream but have you remember how many readers are ambitious with your story, those readers let you win, again and again," he said.

"What do I win?" She asks.

" Have you seen the income block? Yeah I know you don't, no transaction you made still but you have to look in that, you are Precious love," Kevin said.

"What is that income or am I don't familiar with this?" Aria said.

He opened that online platform where Aria writes and shows the income, and when Aria look at that her eyes went wide.

"Yes, he did, I was lucky he run away because police got on time, thank God, they have my car anf that's why I came here by bus, and got late,"

" he not only threatened me physically he is.....," Aria was about to tell Kevin her secret, but then she stopped.

" What else he is doing?" Kevin wanted to know.

"Nothing, but from today I am not sure that I am safe, he can be anywhere", Aria says but Kevin was suspicious to see that calmness over her face, he knows how drastic will be an interaction with a serial killer gropes like.

"But it is not necessary, you can work with me whenever you are free or sitting available in this hospital, I guess this can be a convenient thing for you?" he said.

" How can it be possible, my day went so busy, Mr. Brooklyn is such a Ahhhh.....," Aria tried to sip up her anger, and then her gaze turn to those handsome smiling lips.

"Yes, he is my good friend, but we can be more better than that," Kevin said and she gives him a forced smile.

" No, I am not interested in making friends, I am happy with what I got, I will appreciate if you treat me like Mr. Brooklyn if I agree to work with you, Right?" She makes him stunned.

"Hey, don't take me wrong, I just wanted to make you comfortable with me, nothing else little one," He said and she peeks at down.

" I should go, I got to go work, I will let you know when I get discern something with myself," Aria said.

"As you want it to be," Kevin smiles, she turns and walked to her ward. She saw Brooklyn was standing in front of her, she grimaced cause that was the face she doesn't want to see, and at that moment his face was burning rage, this going to be impossible for that little one

"Hey, Brooklyn come with me," Kevin comes from Aria's back, he binds his shoulder around his neck and turns him to another side, he turns back and blinks his eye at Aria, she smiles and thank to God.

Aria commence with her work, while Kevin was with Brooklyn in his office.

Aria was happy because today Brooklyn don't get the chance to ashamed her.

Kevin comes out of Brooklyn's office, and his gaze falls on that tired little girl, unexpectedly Aria's gaze falls on him, she gives him the same sweet smile, and he walks toward her.

"Now I hope he would keep some calm behavior with you," Kevin said.

*Please you don't have to do this for me, I might not able to work with you, I have just nodded to you, but don't make it sure, don't trust me too much and don't you have to do this for me, "

* I am okay with his rage, I don't remember what I have done to him, but it's still okay," Aria smiles.

"Look, I understand what you are reckoning about me, but I did this for you, it has no concern with you working with me, this is something else," he blink his eye.

"Pardon me to leave, nice to meet you," He followed his hand forward and Aria place her into his, he turns her hand upside down, and place a kiss on it, her eyes went wide and she snatches her hand back.

"I have some patient to look," Aria said and runs away from him.

Everyone had seen them, and they were so happy, because Aria is congested over boys, and that Handsome one takes her attention it was the second time it happened to her,

The first was Bryon, and he is a hero to her.

Brooklyn heard the staff giggling about something, and it was about Aria, he wanted to know what is it.

"What are you discussing?" He asks.

"No...nothing sir," everyone got stuck in their places, He glimpsed all of them in one, and said.

"Charla," he let out her name, Charla was a beautiful woman, having white skin, and beautiful long features, with blue small eyes, and red-headed, she was Brooklyn's secretary.

" Yes, sir," she gives attention to him.

" Give an explanation call on all of them", Brooklyn said.

" But.... but why?" The staff was perplexed.

" Because you are not opening those bloody mouths," Brooklyn said, no one was ready to say a thing about that nice girl, everyone knows what is Brooklyn's behavior with her.

But if they don't they can get in big trouble.

" Charla, write it right now," He commanded.

But one of them spoke.

" We are just discussing that man, and Aria, she is feeling nice with him, the first time we see her with some man so comfortable, and that's all we want her to smile like this", that one said and Brooklyn smirks.

"Do you really think, it going to happen?" He said and walks to Aria.

She was gently busy with her patient.

And examining one patient's lower back hernia.

"I am going to touch you here, and I want your consent, would you let me please", Aria asks and pull on her gloves.

" Yes, sure," the patient said, the patient was 50 years old female, who was so happy to find a beautiful charming doctor here.

" Okay, please pull your arms in the air, Aria said and ready to clutch her back, but Brooklyn comes before, he sees Aria with a ferocious smirk.

But she gives him a polite smile.

" Mr. Brooklyn, I am doing an examination, please.... let go of my hand", Aria said.

" I think you need to come with me," Brooklyn said and drag her with him.

"Everyone give attention please", He was holding her hand, and everyone surrounds her all the members of the staff were there.

"This is Ms. Aria Benedict, most of you know her", He said and everyone agrees.

"Mr. Brooklyn please....", Aria tries to take her hand off but she can't.

"We know her for her good character and also beauty isn't she beautiful," He smirks.

* It's enough, let me go please," She said, but he ignores her.

" You know what? I always thought Ms. Aria is interested in someone unique blessed with kindness, and many other stupid things", Brooklyn said.

She broke into tears, and Brooklyn assumes what he was doing.

He let go of her hand and looked at her filled in tears.

"Aria,....." he tried to take over her but she placed her hand between.

"Please,.....," Aria let out and runs towards the doctor's room.

Everyone was staring at Brooklyn and he feel ashamed about himself.

* Why? Why did this all happen to me? Why does everyone try to let me down? What I have done?" She questioned herself.

This time her heart got whacked, she was stooped in the room.

Aria came out of the doctor's room, after having a good cry.

She walked to the patient she was examining, she was still there and asking for Aria, she said she will only let her examine.

" Wait for a second, what the rush?" She asks and that woman got calm.

" Edward, let me," She said, and he place his hand over her shoulders.

"Are you okay?" He asks.

"Completely it's okay, I need to do this quickly, the time is running up", Aria said with a smile and continue with her examination.

"I said, I only want her," That old woman glared at Edward, and he smiles.

"Yes, I am here for everyone who needs me," Aria says.
