It was finally my turn to speak. I planned to say so many things but when I reached the center of the audience it seemed my voice wasn't forthcoming. I was just stranded but I knew I had to say something.
"Fellow wolves and honorable judges,
As we gather here today to compete, I want to assure you that I, Elijah, promise to conduct myself with the utmost respect and sportsmanship. I will not engage in any behavior that would tarnish the reputation of our pack or bring shame to my family.
I promise to respect my opponents, to not use any underhanded tactics, and to win or lose with grace and humility. I will not argue with the judges' decisions and will accept the outcome with dignity.
