“I’m only doing this for your kids. Whom I’ve never met. Coming to get you, big man.” Hunter groaned as she cut the ropes that bound him to the branch. He tumbled to the ground. She left the dagger in the chest of the guard who’d held the g*n to Hunter’s head. They would find it. They would know that an enemy who returned one’s foe’s weapons was not to be trifled with. Then she searched the two white lab coats. More phones. She stashed them in her pack. “We gotta move, young man.” Hunter was on all fours, but he was struggling to get up. “Time to go, Hunter, you’re too heavy to carry.
