“Pendejos. Emerald. Good man.” The explosives from Olive’s drone had blown out the site’s floodlights. The scene of devastation beneath them revealed itself gradually under the copter’s single search beam. The camera underneath the aircraft offered a clear view of the largest cage. The metal box had popped open. A couple of the security beards were running away from the broken mass of metal, flailing, panicked, blindly into the snow. What could they possibly be scared of? Surely not the rather cute pink snow leopard that was nowhere to be seen. Then they spotted something else, far too large to fit into the light’s beam.
