“What do you mean he said no?!” April shouts through the phone. I’m crying now, feeling much less calm about this than when I was talking to Tyson. “He s-said he’s going to college and that he doesn’t want the ‘f*****g baby’.” I say, sniffling. “What the hell? How can anybody turn down their own child?” She asks angrily. I shrug, even though she can’t see it. “I mean, sure he gets cocky sometimes, but he’s always so nice. I never expected him to not acknowledge this.” That makes me cry harder, since I’m now realizing that I’m going to be a single mother for the rest of my life.
