Chapter 13Their third date was the most wonderful so far. April had asked if they could go see The Notebook, and while Kyle knew it was a total chick flick, he didn’t object. He bought huge tubs of popcorn and large sodas, and they watched the coming attractions and licked salt and butter off their fingers.
Once the movie started, the theater fell silent, and they watched the events unfold. The most amazing thing, as far as Kyle was concerned, was when Noah and Allie began kissing in the rain. April whispered, “So hot!” grabbed Kyle’s shirtfront, pulled him close, and kissed the living daylights out of him.
