The jet black Maybach screeched in front of the wooden gates of The Mayhew mansion and Alexander walked out of it. He was exhausted and just wanted to sleep. Three days in Greece were hell for him. He had continuous meetings, with an annoying Mckenzie to deal with who left no chance of touching him inappropriately or even throwing him her signals of getting laid together. It came to the point where she got too desperate for his attention. It was the night before they were leaving Athens, Alex was inside his room, standing on the edge of the balcony, wearing his cotton trousers and t-shirt ready to call it a night. But his mind was swaddled with the thought of Isabella, he stood holding cigarette to his face, and his phone in his hand swiping through Isabella's candid pictures of her leaving the office, walking out of her house or clicked through the bushes while she was on her morning run. He left Michael his assistant behind to keep an eye on her and keep updating him. He knew she wouldn't do anything against him, he had started to trust her this much after knowing that it wasn't her gun. He had realized that if she wanted to hurt him, she would've done it six years back. A part of her was just rebellious to him because that part maybe didn't want Cherwood and Alexander realized that she just needed space, which he never gave to her. He would be lying to himself if he said he didn't miss her. She grew on to him and one thing that appealed the most of him was her habit of getting annoyed in less than a minute. She literally had zero tolerance and somehow Alexander found it amusing. He was lost in his thoughts, while his door knocked. He immediately went towards the door and peeked through the hole. He groaned seeing Mckenzie standing at the door. His first thought was to not to open and tell her in the morning that he was sleeping but she knocked again at the door. He opened up and saw her standing holding a bottle of champagne in her hand, just a beige trench coat tightened with belt around her body and red lipstick stuck to her lips. She walked inside, pushing him aside, without caring even if he offered her to come inside or not. She smiled mischievously, putting the champagne bottle next to the vase on the corner table and turned towards Alex who already gave her an annoyed look. "What do you want at this time of the night?" Alex asked in a plain tone. His tone did shamble her confidence but she kept a poker face and walked towards him, keeping sure to make her walk suggestive. She slightly pulled on the belt of her coat, pushing it aside as it parted open on the top, revealing her plum breast held together by a burgundy piece of lacy bra, wired to mold her breasts upright. But Alex didn't move her gaze any further down her eyes, he knew she was on a mission to seduce him but he wasn't going to give in. "What can I possibly want from you at this time of night?" She smirked, enclosing the gap between them and wrapping her arms over his shoulder. Running her fingers along the length of his jaw, a gesture she knew could melt any stone of a man. Alex gulped hard, his throat moving along the swell of his Adam's apple, he kept his eyes glued to Mckenzie's face. He felt angered at his audacity to even trying to seduce him but he knew he had to be a gentleman in this manner. He couldn't just hurt Mckenzie. Even though she was a mean person, she still had a heart with hopes and somehow what he was with Mckenzie, Isabella was to him. It was like a vicious cycle of Karma, a pain given to someone comes back in the form of pain. He sighed and gently pulled Mckenzie's arms off his shoulder. "Can we talk please?" Mckenzie's face fell at his offer but she tried to keep her hopes high and pushed a smile. "Of course, whatever you suggest." He took a few steps back, creating a safe distance and walked towards one of the two single grey sofa chairs, expecting Mckenzie to sit on the other one. She complied and sat down on the one opposite to him. Alex sighed and moved his hands between his hair, resting his elbows on his knees, confused as how to talk to someone in this manner. He had never thought he would ever have to infuse his ideology into someone else and talk in a rational tone but he thought about it as a practice test to start being different and treat Isabella different and give her the attention she deserved. "So, Mckenzie... I..." he fumbled slowly with his words because he wanted to make sure not to hurt her feelings. "What is it?" she pushed him to open up. Not wanting to look at Mckenzie, he looked at the floor and that somehow gave him the courage to speak immediately. "I just... I know how you feel about me and I am sorry but I just don't feel the same and we're also not young anymore to f**k around... I am... I am getting serious in my life..." "Is it Isabella?" Mckenzie asked, cutting him off. "Huh?" He asked, looking at her face seeing her eyes filled with tears and that somehow made him feel bad. He should've stopped her from making moves at him earlier but he somehow lead her on. He should've told her off a long while before and somehow not doing so was his biggest mistake at the moment as a crying Mckenzie was right in front of his eyes. "Mckenzie... I just..." He adjusted to get up but she held her palm. "It's fine, I don't want your sympathy." she held her tears and sniffed her cries back. She took in a sharp breath, as holding into her tears was an exhausting task, leaving her breathless. "I appreciate you were honest enough to not to use me. You are right, I should project my heart towards someone who would be serious with me, like you are for Isabella." She stated at once and noticed how a small smile appeared on his face at the mere mention of her. Her heart drenched as she realized that the woman behind her loss was Isabella. "She is very lucky to have you and... You should also know you are special and hope you know your worth." with that she got up, as she didn't had the energy to further tolerate the fact that the guy she so dyingly dreamt of being with, was in love with someone else. "I'll just leave..." Alex stayed quite as she left but then she stopped and turned to grab the champagne she brought with her. "I'll be needing this..." With that she walked out of the room. Leaving Alex entirely astonished that Mckenzie who was spoiled and arrogant surprisingly acted mature and understanding. He smiled slightly thinking he was successful in his plans and grabbed onto his phone and again swept through Isabella's pictures. His smile grew wide, looking at her and wondering what she might be doing at this time. While he had just turned a bit mature and sensible just to try and understand her better. He shook his head with his lips still beaming with a full smile. Things we do for love.... He suddenly paused at that thought... His mind spiraled at his own thoughts. Love... Was it about time, he admitted to himself that he indeed had sincere feelings for Isabella. Feelings beyond lust and stubbornness of having Isabella by his side. Somehow, no woman felt like her, not even the slightest, anywhere near to how special not only did Isabella feel but also made how special she made Alexander feel. He smiled to his thoughts, getting in his bed. His head in a happy place. After Isabella left his office, seemingly jealous of Mckenzie, he felt that the reason behind her jealousy is actually that she felt something for him too and knowing if he would confront her she would definitely lash out in a rude manner just to annoy Alex and so he didn't contact her. Wanting to give her space so she would move on from the office incident. And slept peacefully to Isabella's thoughts. The next morning he didn't meet Mckenzie, Leo who was with him informed Alex that Mckenzie checked out of the room earlier that morning. Getting done with his final meeting as well, Alexander decided to head back home as it was his birthday and every year he celebrated his birthday with his family. Although he wised to take Isabella with him but he never wished him and he also knew that she would pull some obnoxious stunt in front of his parents to embarrass him. He was already tired when he landed back in the states and the long drive from airport to home was even more excruciating. So he decided to just sleep but as soon as he entered inside his house, the fresh aroma of vanilla and spices hit his nostrils. Even though he was tired, he still felt intrigued to see who might be playing with fragrances in his kitchen at this time of the night as the house staff leaves by eight and everyone knows it not allowed to cook in Alex's kitchen in his absence. He made his way towards the kitchen and stood stunned to see Isabella standing in the middle aisle of the kitchen, her back towards him but he could still clearly see that it was her. She wore gym shorts paired with a tank top, while her hair tied up in a bun. She was simmering something inside a sauce pan and taking a pause, she walked a few paces away and reached for the fixed conventional oven that was camouflaged with rest rest of the beige cabinets, except it had a tempered fiber glass used for a lid, in order to prevent heat damage. She opened up the oven and peaked inside. Satisfied with her work, she smiled a little and turned around. She squeaked a loud scream, scared to death seeing Alexander standing in the open kitchen entrance. She kept a hold on her chest, her heart beat accelerating with the impact of Alex's sudden presence. "Did I scare you?" Alex asked with a smug look. He couldn't lie to even his own self and hide the excitement of the fact that he was happy to see Isabella. He wasn't expecting her to be present at his place, without him summoning her, like it always happened but that night finding her in his house, did made him feel happy. "Of course you did scare me." She complained moving towards the stove and stirring inside the red pot. "What are you doing?" Alex interrogated, leaning back against the kitchen aisle, crossing his arms, keenly studying Isabella's entire figure. He would be lying to his own self if he said he didn't miss her. He missed Isabella every second he spent in Greece and wished to get back to her and wrap his arms around her curvy figure. Isabella turned around and noticed how tired yet mischievous Alex still looked. "Why don't you go and freshen up and we can have dinner? It'll be ready in five." Alex c****d his eyebrows, stunned at Isabella's offer. "Wait! You're making dinner?" He asked completely astonished. Never in the three years of their abnormal relationship Isabella ever had, even made Alex a glass of drink, let alone cook something for him. She had never even passed him a smile and today not only was she chiming and not offending him with her words but also cooking food for him. "Are you planning on poisoning me?" Alex tried connecting the dots of Isabella's sudden nice behavior and this only seemed to be the possible explanation to him. Isabella rolled her eyes, a large spread appearing around her lips but she held her laughter back.  Somehow she found Alex's oblivion cute. "No, I won't poison you, it'll be a easy death. I'm just making us some dinner." Needless, she laughed at the end of her sentence. Alexander stood back bedazzled but simply made his way towards his room, freshening up and changing into a pair of sweat pants and round neck t-shirt. He was still confused about Isabella's sudden poised and lack of rudeness towards him. Usually she would only throw daggers with her words at him and act aloof but now the sudden change in her behavior was irking him. So he picked up his phone and dialed, Ray's number. "Why didn't you tell me about Isabella's arrival at the manor?" He directly jumped to the question. "My Apologies, I was unaware about Ms. Grace's presence. You had asked me to keep an eye on Jesse and I had been busy with that." Ray sounded disturbed with his sleepy tone. "Any news on that?" "So far, nothing! He is just quarantined inside his house and his father and chauffeur however had left the house a few times but I'm pretty sure they're only preparing for his departure to New York." "Good, leave one of your men at the place and check on Isabella's activities on the days I was gone." "Very well, I would." Alex did feel something was wrong, or else there was no way Isabella would be so affectionate towards him. He made his way downstairs and entered the kitchen, where Isabella had set the dishes on the kitchen aisle counter, where the two bar stools were placed, right next to each other. "I didn't want to walk all the way to the dining table, it would be exhausting, so I'm laying it out here." She explained, placing a small crystal candle stand in the middle of the two crystal plates that had pasta and pesto sauce garnished presentable-ly. He remained cautiously quite and sat down at the chair, where Isabella joined him as well. He avoided touching his food and watched as Isabella took a bite of hers. She looked up at him and went quiet, noticing how he was avoiding his food. She did feel bad, for his lack of trust but again, she understood his actions and for the first time in years, she cared to earn his trust. Hence she picked his fork and took a bite from his plate. "See, I'm pretty much alive." She spoke with mouthful and earned a small laughter from Alex. "Wished you'd poison me, at least you'd be dead." Alex retorted making Amy laugh as well. "As I said, not poisoning you." She smiled a bit and the two continued eating for a while until Amy moved the bottle of wine near her, to fill her glass but Alex stopped her. "You don't drink this one." He notified and got up, walking towards the back door of the kitchen, leading down towards the wine celery. He came back after a few minutes, until Isabella was done with her pasta and was already placing another plate on the counter. "You already finished?" Alex asked looking at her plate but looked up to see her placing a plate of cake on the counter. She held a suppressed smile, where she was even herself confuse as to how express herself. Alex on the other hand was taken aback by her gesture of kindness. "Isabella... That's a cake?" His statement showed how confused he was. It was a simple chocolate cake sponge cake that was covered with chocolate icing. It didn't look perfect but smelled good somehow. It was still slightly warm as it was freshly picked out of the oven. "Well, that's what I tried to make." She shrugged. Moving the candle stand and cake closer to one another. "Umm... Happy birthday?" She asked, passing him a knife. "You remembered?" Isabella never wished him birthday, even when he was obviously showing it, taking her to his birthday parties and even telling her that it's his birthday, she never wished him a happy one. Instead she would only nod or shrug and today, not only did she wish him before midnight but also baked him a cake. "Do you want something?" He asked, crossing his hands across his chest. She held back a breath for a second. Indeed she did want something but she also knew that if she would express her demand to Alexander he would confuse her gestures of goodwill for her won personally reasons and would never trust her so she decided to let it slip. "No... I just wanted to wish you a birthday. I mean... I know... I have never wished you a happy once... But I was just hoping it would be a little civil of me." "It is surprising to me." Alex shrugged. "Will you just cut the cake?" Isabella asked with an obvious shrug, impressed and happy by herself that Alex was noticing her efforts to have a civil relationship with him. He nodded and grabbed the knife, passed by Isabella. He blew the candle and cut the cake and Isbella clapped a little earning a small laughter from Alex. He offered the first bite to Isabella and she bit in immediately. She watched Alex as he finished the rest of the piece of cake. "umm... It's actually good." He even complemented. Isabella's heart expanded with sudden urge of holding Alexander as he enjoyed another piece of her cake. It was after a long while she was watching him with admiration. She was watching him with eyes filled with love and hope. Her eyes held a different kind of sensation for him, a sensation of goodwill and love. She wanted to give him more than she had and she had never felt about him this way. For the first time in years, she was looking at a friend, a lover an admirer not at an enemy. She was finally able to see through him. Alexander looked up at her and saw her looking at him the same way she looked at him back in high school, before he broke her heart. Something about her felt healed and complete to him. Keeping her eyes fixed at him, she took a step near him and also got up, moving closer, moving his eyes down to her lips and she also noticed that. Leaning on her tip toes, she connected their lips together and a fire burned through their bodies. A different kind of sensation sparked in their hearts. Alex kissed Isabella's lips with all his will and she moved her lips, kissing him back with all she had. For the first time in years, Alex's heart flattered open, feeling Isabella kiss him back. She kissed and worked her way with her tongue inside his mouth, showing him how badly she wanted him as well. He rubbed his tongue over her lips, allowing her entrance inside his mouth. She used all her power and energy to show him, how much he meant to her. And he felt good feeling a different side of her. He didn't know what changed her within a few days but he was glad and thanking the cause mentally for happening and changing Isabella. She pushed him against the aisle counter and jumped at him, as he involuntarily grabbed her thighs, wrapping her legs around his waist. Her hands were all over his face, body, arms, hair and her mouth was sucking onto his, like her life depended on it. She pulled back a little, keeping her forehead against his, and looking deep down into his eyes. His blue eyes soothed her soul and she felt no shame admitting that she wanted more of him. Alex noticed how her body language for the first time was vibrant and bold. So he didn't hold himself back. Carrying her in his arms, he walked towards the TV lounge and plunged her onto the large three seaters couch. While he was hovering over her, she immediately pulled his shirt up, removing it off his body and letting lose the tie of his sweat pants. She could feel his bulge tightened around his light sweats that made her body clench with more thirst. Closing the gap between there lips, he hovered over her body, groping her tightly, earning a moan from her. Discarding her shirt, her moved down to her shorts and removed them. His eyes grew into a darker shade of blue, looking at Isabella's naked flesh. He leaned down and smacked their lips tightly together, snaking his hand down towards her thighs, pushing them apart and crawling his hand back between her folds. But before he could make his next move, Isabella pushed him over, making him stumble down on the couch. For the night, she wanted to feel like a real woman, a woman who had equal needs and wanted them to be fulfilled by a guy like Alexander, a woman who can make a man like Alexander worship her. She wanted to feel adoration, love, power and trust. So leaned down and kissed Alex's entire body, kissing every inch of his chest, moving down with every kiss. He groaned as she slowly swept her hands above his bulge, feeling every inch of his body. Pulling his sweat pants down, she kissed his muscles, gently running her fingers over his v-line, looking right into his eyes, wanting his consent. He nodded his head, allowing her to follow her instincts. She leaned her head low and grabbed onto his erect p***s. Slowly rubbing her long fingers along the length of his manhood. Reaching for the tip, she gently rubbed her fingers, moving her head lower, tilting and kissing his testicles. Alex groaned with pleasure, throwing his head back and closing his eyes. He had felt Isabella's lips around his p***s many times but this time it not only felt different but alluringly mesmerizing. There was a differentiate kind of magic hidden in everything she was doing that night. Slowly and gradually she took his entire length in her mouth, wrapping her soft lips around every inch of him. Keeping her head low, she looked up at him and her bewitching green eyes, took him into another dimension. He had every single cell in his body yearning to come into Isabella's soft mouth but he pulled himself out and sat back on the couch, pulling Isabella on top of him, straddling her legs around him, he gently entered inside her, slowly making her ride him. She threw her head back as he rubbed onto her hard n*****s, squeezing and kneading her breasts. Their sweated bodies rocked back and forth, sounds of their loud moans filled the entire mansion, as their euphoria glittered in their minds and the two simultaneously came together.  Exhausted, Isabella fell over Alex's shoulder. She was never the one to hold him or show affection by getting anywhere near him after they ever had s*x, and this time not only did it feel different to Alexander, it felt special.  Without disturbing Isabella Alex picked her up and walked up the stairs, entering inside his bedroom, laying her down on the bed, pulling the sheets over her, gently he got in the sheets next to her, trying his best not to disturb her. He turned over, facing away from Isabella. He still stayed up, playing events of the entire night in his head.  How Isabella turned his birthday so special for him. From preparing an entire meal, to not only being affectionate but expressing her desire to have him just as much as he wanted her.  He knew something had happened whilst he was gone, something that changed Isabella's attitude. He knew she was never the one to fake her affection, if she wanted to get on his good side for her own good she would had done that a long while ago. That was something that drove Alex even more crazy about Isabella, which was her honesty and straight forwarded nature.  He knew something changed Isabella but he didn't want to think much about it and just bask in the glory of his o****m.  Slowly he felt Isabella's arm wrap around his waist, as she pulled herself closer to him. He turned to face her and saw her already looking at his with her eye shining in the dark.  His hand snaked up around her waist, reaching up for her face, his thumb rubbing slowly across her jaw. Her hand reached for his head and grabbing his hair, she pulled him closer and locked their lips together.  They spent the entire night wearing each other off, making love uncountable amount of times, discovering a new, gentle and sweet side to each other.  As the morning rays, lit up the entire room, through the large balcony windows, Isabella felt irritated, rotating opposite to the windows, which was Alex's side of bed. A small smile appeared on her lips remembering the scenes from last night, where she and Alexander were wrapped into each other's arms, her legs crossed across his back, pushing him into her while his hands never left her waist and his lips sucked onto her entire body.  She moved her hand towards Alex's side of the bed and felt it was cold and empty. She opened her eyes slowly, it was indeed empty and a part of the sheets that were wrapped around her entire body were left undone on the other side.  She then heard Alex speaking on the phone. She rotated towards the sound and saw him standing at the balcony and slowly whispering in the phone, making sure to not to wake her up. She smiled a little watching him stand in a pair of cotton shorts, his upper body shining against the sparking sunlight.  Keeping his one hand on the window pane, he held the other one to his ear, talking into his phone. "Yes Mom." He said softly and Isabella almost bit her tongue, remembering how much Amy Mayhew despised her for being around her sun. While on the other hand Alexander laughed a little as he talked to his mother. "So be there on time, your brother won't so I am expecting you to show up on time." Amy Mayhew chimed to her son, excitement dripping through her entire body as she spoke on the phone, while handling all the decoration going around in the huge ballroom of her mansion.  "Okay mom, I will be there." Alex confirmed, rolling his eyes, knowing how much paranoid his mother can get if he doesn't show up on time.  "Good!" Amy breathed in unevenness, wanting to fish more information out of her son, showing clear hesitation and the lingering tone of her mother depicted Alex that Amy indeed wanted to ask more.  "So... will you bring your psycho girlfriend?" Alex rolled his eyes. He knew his mother had a clear dislikement towards Isabella and a major part of the situation was to be blamed on Isabella, who threw up on Amy's sister during her first party with the Mayhews and ever since then, she was a laughing or looked down upon stock of the entire Billioanaire clan of Cherwood but no one dared to say anything given she was with Alexander Mayhew. The most powerful man not just in the town but also in the entire states.  "Mom!" He daunted back at her, "Of course I will bring her."  Isabella heard his words and somehow she knew it was her, he was having a conversation about.  "Then just keep her away from my family and the bar." Amy retorted, cutting the call showing her clear disappointment on his son's selection.  She had nothing against the girl, in fact she knew that her son was rather incessant upon keeping her near him and using her company as a threat over her head to make her stick with him. Amy had clearly seen how Isabella didn't like the entire glit and glam of the billionaire fame that Alex carried with him, she was a girl of different world, a world that was small not just in reality but confined in imagination too.  She was too plain and simple and sometimes, Amy wondered what her son even found attractive in her. She sure was a beautiful girl, with crystal green eyes and a curvy body that a straight  man would find attractive but Alex had many options, options that were much open, attractive and accepting of his world. Amy never knew why his son was hooked on this girl. Initially she thought she was a rendezvous or an unfulfilled desire that was going to be filled soon and he will be over her but it had been more than three years now and somehow she was getting accustomed to Isabella's scrutinized poker face at every event.  Alex turned around to find Isabella sitting up against the head board of the bed and using her phone. "You are up." He announced looking at her and she kept her phone aside, keeping the sheets over her body and crawling to the foot of the bed.  "I think I slept enough." She smiled a little patting the side next to her, asking Alex to take a seat.  Seeing her warm side, Alex immediately complied, something inside him somehow always wanted this.  There was an awkward silence for a moment as the two sat in complete silence, looking around the entire room instead of each other. They had never been in such peace before and now things only seemed different but a better different.  "So..." Isabella lingered for a moment, clearing her throat, "Happy birthday." She shrugged and Alex looked at her and found this new side of her extremely adorable.  "Thank you." He leaned and stole a kiss from her lips. "You don't want to go for your morning run?" He asked getting up and calling the housekeeping staff for breakfast.  "You already went to the gym?" She asked looking at him and he nodded.  Every kind of conversation they were having was a new kind of experience for both but it also felt like they had been doing this for centuries.  "Well... I am pretty tired from last night so, I'll skip my morning run, besides I am getting late for office." She announced, getting out of the bed and walking towards the bathroom. Alexander studied her entire naked  body, sparkling like a goddess against the shiny sun rays. Even though he had seen her naked thousands of times, he could never get enough of her.  "Sure..." he shrugged, subtly watching her body bounce as she walked, "... I'll ask Ms. Gunnerson to prepare breakfast..." He went to pick up the landline phone but Isabella stopped as she was about to enter the bathroom, holding the door against her body, "how about we, have it here today?" She offered and he simply nodded his head.
