The Fate of our Stars.

Chapter 1.

Tiana POV.

The whole dance floor was filled with people. I, in my simple gown, walked into the house and started at the beautiful house party decoration.

The lavish party reflected the wealth of the Lopez family.

"Tiana, come on. Be quick so we can see my dad before he joins the party." Piper said.

I was at the Lopez house to get a job as a physiotherapist. Piper is my good friend from college, we met apparently after three long years after college. And I told her about my quest for a job and she told me about her grandma's leg problem.

She decided to take me to her dad and ask whether I can be her grandma's physiotherapist since they needed one.

I passed through many people, I was just following Piper. I said to her;

'Your house is big though, it's beautifully decorated.'

' Yeah, thanks.'

Someone called Piper. Someone gorgeous. He was handsome. He had Viking gold hair which made up his great look. He then had bristle eyebrows.

He approached Piper and took a glance at me and smiled.

That smile. It took my breath away.

'Please excuse me.' He said looking at me.

He spoke to Piper and she returned.

"Who was that? Your boyfriend?'

'Nope, my cousin brother. He's very nice.'

'Really?' I said foolishly.

'Yeah, he cares about everyone, unlike his brother.'

' We've passed over six rooms now, where is your dad's room.'

'We are here. So you wait outside, I'll talk to him.' Piper said.

I nodded.

While waiting outside, a ball hit my back. I turned around and a small child ran to me. He was so cute. He said;

'Sorry aunt, it was a mistake. Please forgive me.'

' Okay, but be careful when playing. Promise?'

' I promise. ' the child said and ran off with his ball. I couldn't even him his name.

After waiting a while, Piper called me in. I greeted Mr. Lopez and he said;

"So you are a good physiotherapist? Why not get a job in the hospital?'

" Well sir, it's because all the hospitals I've applied to don't need a physiotherapist," I said

"Okay, you can be my mother's physio but you have to be committed to your job. It's because I trust Piper that's why I'm giving you this job. Don't disappoint me. Okay? " He said

" Yes sir! Thank you so much, sir." I said.

Piper and I left the room and I hugged Piper and thanked her.

'I'll be going now. Bye!'

' No, come on. Enjoy the party. It's my brother's birthday party. Wouldn't you want to wish him?'

"But..."

"No buts, please. For my sake!"

' Okay, Piper. I'll wish him a happy birthday.'

"But first, you look too simple to be at the birthday party of the Lopez family. Let me give you a makeover." She said pulling my arm.

Piper's closet had many clothes in it. They are beautiful. She sat me down on a chair directly facing a mirror.

' Now close your eyes and don't open it till I'm done.'

I shut my eyes and overcome every temptation to open it midway. Piper even put jewelry on me. She told me to open my eyes and wow, I looked stunning.

My curly hair was all straightened. She applied makeup on me and I was looking so elegant. She then gave me a dress to change into.

I changed into the dress and came out of the bathroom.

"Come on now, enjoy the party," Piper said leaving me.

I walked down the stairs and I was confident about my look. I went to the bar and asked for juice. While I was there, a boy met me:

"Hi, I'm Tony. And you are?"

"Tiana."

"You look ravishing."

''Thanks."

"Can we have a dance?"

I sip the orange juice and I look at Tony.

Okay, guys, Chapter 1 is over, and actually, this chapter was just to show you how Tiana got into the Lopez house and alternatively soon, the center of some hearts.
