Marshall kept the silence at bay with idle chatter while Sean drove the forty miles to the lake. Sean was largely silent during the drive and during the half an hour hike around the peaceful water’s edge and as they set up their tents in neatly laid out camp site which consisted of a stone fire pit surrounded by a large circle of pea gravel. Soft tent-sized squares of sand ringed half of the gravel circle. All of this faced a cove, fed by a small stream on one side and opening onto the lake on the other. “This is a pretty awesome spot, man,” marveled Marshall. “It is pretty cool, actually.
