I sat there drumming my fingers on a desk, waiting for a report. My Beta came in.
“We were slaughtered.”
I jumped to my feet. “How is that possible? Alpha Yukon’s pack should have been wiped out. They were on the list of vulnerable packs.” I seethed.
“Not when Obsidian is there.”
“Domina was there?” I questioned.
“Yes, so was Alpha Cojax, Alpha Nero, and some massive Alpha we don’t know.”
“s**t, s**t, s**t,” I said as I paced. “We jumped too soon on the attack. No matter. This was just testing the waters.”
“What now?”
I stopped pacing and looked at my Beta. “We will rebuild the army. We are going to lay low. I will kill Domina. She can be killed. We will attack the heart of it all. The castle. Then, I will reign as the monarch.” I said mischievously.
