I stood at the entrance of the doorway. "I just wanted to see my son." I half lied.
I did want to see him. But he wasn't the reason I came.
"Y... You're not here to have your way with me?" Valentina stuttered.
I shook my head. "I just want to see him. Valentina, he is my son. Look, for what it's worth, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have done that to you. I don't hit women. Do you know how the mate bond works?" I questioned.
She nodded.
"When Domina broke the mate bond, it made me go mad. Some Alphas die from it. Well, that's what happened, and Domina threw you into it. Not by spite. She thought either you or Geraldine would be the perfect candidate to be Luna. Because of my age, I didn't want a young girl. Most Alphas would have taken a young girl and taken off. Not me.
