"Felix, what is going on?" Jacob asked as we moved quickly through the forest once Jo's scent had been picked up.
I updated my best friend about the mysterious wolves and Jo's identity. Jacob was taken aback by the unexpected twist and found himself speechless for once. I couldn't shake off my concern for Jo, and we continued in silence, lost in our own thoughts. I felt awful for getting mad at her like that. She was confused and scared. I should have stayed calm. Jo really has no idea who or what she is.
