6. Brain’s Dilemma“An opinion, sir,” called Geel to Sabienn. The officer still stood by the hole with his two colleagues. He was now waving his hand for Sabienn and Bray to come join their inner discussion.
“I’m not sure how much of our reputation precedes,” called Sabienn, as he and Bray moved to the group. “But crowd control is not our best suit.”
“Sir,” said Els pleasantly to Sabienn. “Do you enjoy being called a freak?”
The question stopped Sabienn in his tracks and he turned to Bray for an equally confused expression.
“We’re not meaning to be rude,” said Jon. “We just don’t see a lot of winged people.”
