When he returned, his mood was oddly restive and unsettled. “Bring your b***h to my chambers this evening, I’ll have you both,” he announced to his wife. “Yes, sir,” Casia replied and she turned to leave. “In fact,” he called to her, “bring several slaves with you, I’ll have some companions that will need their loins refreshed.” She turned back “Yes, sir,” Casia answered again. “Is there some problem I should be advised of?” “Why would you say that?” “Just an idle question, sir.” “And a wasted one, be off.” Whatever was on his mind, he was obviously not reporting to her.
