785 Words

BLAZE'S POV -- Staring right into the older version of Aerilyn makes it hard to focus, but thinking of what they possibly did to her also boils my blood. "Alpha?" Elder Ester calls for my attention, and I gently turn my head to face her. "I don't want them released," I deadpan. It's as simple as a yes and no. "Why not? They've been locked up for years, and they have behaved and deserve a second chance," Elder Ester voices her opinion that means nothing to me. "You don't know the extent of the damage they have done," I grit out. "They don't deserve freedom," I add, and the Elders glance between each other, silently making a decision. "We need more information," Elder Mark shrugs. "I don't need to explain myself, I am their Alpha,", "And shouldn't you be the one fighting for them?"
