Nora felt limp and powerless when James pushed her against the wall. When she looked up at his beautiful eyes, she saw nothing but anger and darkness in them, and she felt cold all over.
How come I didn't see him? She thought to herself. He wore jeans and a simple black button-up shirt with sleeves rolled up, showing off his muscular forearms. His raven hair was slightly long and messy, with few strands falling over his eyes, making him look even more handsome. How come someone who looks like an angel acts so vicious? Nora wondered.
She put her hand on his chest in an attempt to push him off and felt his hard muscles underneath. She blushed despite her current situation. Something must be terribly wrong with her, she thought.
He dragged her to the living room, where a lot of people were laughing and drinking.
"Hey everyone, Nora over here has been practicing her twerking skills and would like to give everyone a show!" James yelled. Everyone looked at them, some guys whistled. James looked at Nora. She shivered as his eyes didn't have a hint of humor in them.
"Wha...what? no I'm not!" Nora cried out and tried to leave, but James was holding her hand tightly. She couldn't move an inch.
"Oh, you aren't going anywhere until you do as I say. People here deserve to be entertained. Now get up on that table like a good little doll you are, and move your ass." James replied cruelly.
"f**k you, James! You can't make me do things just because you want me to. I'm not scared of you! I loathe you!" Nora yelled. Even though inside, she was scared shitless.
"Is that right? Well, alrighty then, you may leave." James let go of her hands. His eyes glinting as they challenged her.
Nora couldn't believe her ears. "You are letting me go?"
"I just said that didn't I? Or did you change your mind about the dance?" James winked.
Nora quickly headed towards the door, and before she could make it halfway, she felt someone's foot tripping her. She tried to grab something or someone to make herself stop but fell on the floor with a loud thud. She looked up to see a chuckling Ryan who was grinning ear to ear. He tripped her.
She could hear the laughter ringing in her ears and felt herself turning red in embarrassment. She felt a stinging sensation on her hand and elbow. She looked at it. It was scraped raw. She wanted to get up and run out of this horrible place but couldn't move. She felt like her entire body was frozen, and she wanted to dig herself a hole and die.
Seconds went by, which felt like an eternity, then she felt herself being lifted off the ground. James put his hands on her waist and pulled her closer.
"This was for speaking up to me and not doing as I asked. I hope you learned your lesson." James whispered, his face dangerously close to her lips. He wrapped his arms around her shoulders and buried his face in her hair.
He inhaled deeply. The sweet scent of her shampoo made him dizzy. "You may loathe me all you want, but I won't let you get away from me," he whispered.
"What the hell is going on here!" Nora heard Sarah's voice suddenly and broke out of her trance.
Sarah quickly pulled her out of James's grasp and hugged her friend. "What did you do to Nora? Why is she crying?"
"Oh nothing, you are kind of late to the show Sis, your friend was the best entertainment at this party." James laughed.
"For f**k's sake, just give her a break," Sarah replied, utterly pissed off. She turned around to look at Nora. "Are you okay?"
Nora sobbed. "Please...I don't wanna talk about it. Can we just go home?"
Sarah could see Nora was pretty serious and quickly nodded her head and turned to James. "You are a f*****g asshole, James, I'll wait for you at home, and we need to talk about this."
"Oooh, I'm sooo scared! Please don't tell your mommy about this." James mocked. A couple of kids laughed, causing Sarah to glare at them.
"let's go, Nora, we are leaving."
Nora sighed with relief as this night was finally about to be over. She looked over at James and regretted it instantly. He was looking at her intensely. His eyes showed humor, and another emotion she couldn't identify. Was it hatred?
"I hate you," Nora mouthed the words at James before she headed outside with Sarah.
