The homecoming dance was in two weeks, so Nora decided to go shopping with Sarah to find the perfect dress. She couldn't help feeling an overwhelming sadness every time she thought about James, but she forced herself to look excited about going with Mason. She needed to give him a fair chance.
Sarah kept trying on different dresses and finally settled on a dark blue tube dress with little silver stars. Nora picked out a random dress and held it up in front of Sarah.
"What do you think of this one?" She asked Sarah.
"Um..yeah. That'd be the perfect dress if Mason were taking his grandma to the dance." Sarah rolled her eyes.
"Well... I don't know what to pick!" Nora shrugged. She quickly scanned the shop again, and a ruby red dress that was displayed on a mannequin caught her eyes.
