The birds flew out of the trees at the sound of an approaching predator. The entire forest knew of his presence. The fresh air that blew between the leaves of the tall trees also blew through his wolf’s fur and soothed some of the heat in his veins. Martin was surrounded by trees of different colors; green, red and yellow. The sky was a beautiful clear blue filtering through the tree canopies; all a sight he would have usually taken time to appreciate, but it all barely registered on his mind. They all blurred as he ran past them at full strength, not caring if he missed a step and fell. It felt good to push his wolf to run faster, to release the tension in his muscles.
