"Can we make a detour?" Gia said once they were in Matteo's car.
Matteo hummed in agreement, "Sure, where?"
Honestly, Gia had forgotten that she had plans with Matteo today. It was only when he texted her that he was on his way to pick her up did she remembered about it.
"This address. I have to meet with a friend really quick." Gia showed him the name of the university on her phone.
"Your friend is a student?"
"Yes. He is very irresponsible when it comes to important things so I have to help him with the admission procedure." Gia explained. She hesitated, "Is that fine? Once I'm done with it, we can go someone else like we planned."
"I don't mind." Matteo chuckled, "I'm here for the little detours. Never been to that part of NYC. Let's explore."
