"He must have gone back to work. Why?" Alice asked. Marcus was her son and it wasn't possible to be upset for a long time. She was even planning to talk to him once he came back.
Pearl exaggerated her expression as she said, "One of my friends is obsessed with Marcus! She wanted me to give his number to her but I refused. She has begged me so many times that I feel awkward. But I can't just give it so I wanted to ask Marcus if he's okay with it."
Gia did not react much on the surface but on the inside she was already sneering. Who the hell had the guts to ask for Marcus' number? Is it so easy to date him? Gia scoffed.
Alice knew her son very well. There was very little chance that he would let Pearl give his number to some random girl.
