The drive back to their apartment was mostly silent. The mood from before was definitely ruined, but Winter decided to forget what Amelia had said.
She had just graduated and was now going to be working at the company she had always admired. Everything in her life was going well, and she would not waste her time worrying about whatever schemes Amelia was cooking up.
She was anxious to begin her job at Sun Group, but she was yet to receive her appointment letter. She was so excited to start working that if they called and asked her to be there the very next day, she would be there ready to get started.
As they got closer to their apartment, she decided to ask Julian about it. “I’ve not received my appointment letter yet, do you know when I’ll join the company?”
