Rodney nodded. “Absolutely, sir.” “You can go now,” Luke mumbled. “Yes, sir.” Luke stayed in his office long after Rodney had left. He couldn’t get Alex out of his mind or forget the fear in his eyes. The thing he remembered most was how lovely the young man was. The soft features of his face, green doe eyes, long eyelashes, and pink, pouty lips made him look somewhat girlish. Luke had studied Alex’s files and photographs but they didn’t do him justice. It was Alex’s birthday today. Rodney reported they had taken Alex out of a bar downtown he’d left with a friend. It made Luke wonder what they were doing there that night.
