Seth continues to roll away from me, unwilling to talk to me. I sigh, finally giving up for the night.
“I love you,” I tell him softly as I roll away and turn off the light, submerging the room in darkness.
He’s mad. He doesn’t want me to go, and he doesn’t want me to go without him. He’s worried I’ll get hurt, and I understand his concerns. But they won’t be prepared for me to leave the house.
