Panic Attack

The ride back home felt quick as I notice we're pulling up in front the familiar brick gray house. It's probably because I've slept mostly throughout the whole ride. I only woke up to use the bathroom and get something to eat. As the house came more into view I sat up all sleepiness gone. The engine stopped as Max parked the car. He turns to look at me a smile on his face. "Are you ready? You look kind of nervous."

I let out a shaky laugh "Me nervous, nah I'm actually excited." Max gives me a skeptical look not buying my act. He knew I was lying. Well I wasn't telling the whole truth. I'm really excited to see my parents but at the same time I was nervous not by my parents but by the people of the pack. "What if they judge me or point fingers at me? I mean I left and suddenly I’m back pregnant for goodness sake. Who's to say they wouldn't point and gossip? I'm afraid of what they would say about me. Oh God, I should never have come back." I bubble spilling all my thoughts onto my brother. I was having a panic attack.

I felt Max rest his hand on top of mine a reassure smile on his face as he spoke. “Brella calm down, take deep breaths." He pause waiting for me to comply. Which I did and I actually felt a lot better. "You need not to worry everything will be alright. Don't bother what people say you have us remember your family and friends.” I smile at him grateful he always knows the right words to say.

We got out the car after a few moments for me to gather myself. Everybody have already got out and waited for us. I notice him standing in a far corner off and felt kind of relieve. I don't think I can handle him now. We walked right up to the door me anticipating every step I took as everyone follows close behind. I look at Max and he motion me to open the door and I proceeded to do so, but before my hand can connect with the door, it swung open revealing my mother.

"Oh my baby," my mom said embracing me in a big hug. On impulse I hugged her back welcoming her sweet motherly scent I've missed a lot. We stood their embracing each other arms my mom telling me how much she missed me and that I shouldn't have leave in the first place etc.

“All right Loretta don't you think it's my turn to hug her, she's my daughter too you know.” My father unmistakable voice said

"OK Carl but first lets our guest come inside and settle down they must be tired." Mom said looking at my friends behind me. She loose out of our embrace to let us pass through the door. Of course I'm the first one to pass. I was aiming for the living room until a hand grabs me and I am once again in a tight embrace. I knew it's my father because the person I'm hugging is big, tall and plus his scent give it away.

"Don't think you'll get away that easy without hugging your father. I haven't hug you in months." I embrace my dad even more if that's possible.

"I'm sorry dad for leaving. I just need some time to think and to be away." Tears forming in my eyes as I look up at him. My dad took is thumb and wiped my tears.

"It’s ok honey you don't have to explain. I don't blame you one bit." He whispers patting my back. We'll talk later OK. Now let's join the others.

After placing a kiss on my forehead we when into the living room and join the others. Dad left me and takes a seat with mom and I went to sit between Ryan and Kristy. She smiles at me but looks a bit nervous so I decided now is the time to introduce everyone. "Mom, Dad these are my friends I told you about. Ryan, Jace, Kristy and Dr Reid." I gesture towards my friends. "Ryan here is an Alpha I was staying at his pack for the time being."

"Ah yes you told me that." Dad remarked. He turns his gaze toward Ryan. “Thank you for taking care of my daughter Ryan. Tell me who did you get your Alpha genes from and how is it that you stayed in the city?"

“Really it was no problem Sir, Brella is a really great person.” Ryan said. “Our father," Ryan started motioning between himself and Jace. "He was the Alpha of the Sun stone pack but after it was attacked by rouge everybody breakup deciding to go their own way. We moved back to the city. Soon later our parents pasts away. I was seventeen then and since my dad still carry on the pack tradition I had to take his place as Alpha." I remember when Ryan told me this it was tragic if you ask me. Kristy parents got kill in the attack that's why she lives with them. Dr. Reid being a close friend to the family chooses to stay with them.

"Yes I remember that pack it was such a shame what happen. I also remember your father was a good man, I'm sorry what happen. You see we were close friends and I'm glad my daughter stayed with you guys." My dad says

After a while everyone start to relax a bit even me, myself also start to relax. Judy my mom maid came in and offers us some drinks and cookies. I could tell she was surprise when she sees me but she did a good job in covering it up. I felt kind of bother for a second but Ryan squeeze my hand and I remember what Max told me and I felt better. Dr. Reid and Dad hit if off they became good friends fast. One would think they were longtime friends. Kristy seems shy at the time but my mom manages to open her up. Everyone having a good time. My attention drifted to my mate. I notice him just standing in the far off corner of the living room. He's been quite most of the time and I couldn't help wondering what he's thinking.

"Brella," My mom called. Kiefer look up and caught me staring at him. I quickly turned my attention to my mom. "How are you sweetie? How's the baby you haven't said anything about it. Is it kicking yet? I can't believe I'm going to be a grandmother."

I chuckle at her enthusiasm glad she's excited to know she's going to be a grandma. "Mom I'm find and the babies are find too. They've been kicking ever since I've reached Five months into the- ."

"Wait, wait, wait, wait." My mom cut me off. "Did I hear right or did you just said babies?"

I smirk at her. "Why yes you heard right, I'm having twins."

"Oh my gosh. Brella that's wonderful I'm going to have two grandchildren. I'm going to have to throw a party. Carl did you hear that our daughter is going to have twins." She exclaim. "Call Judy we have to plan a Shower."

Dad just looks at my mom and smiles he then gives me a sympatric look when mom wasn't looking. My mom planning and throwing a party could get really ugly even though she always throws a good party. A loud shattering of glass is heard over my mom commotion. We all look in the direction where the sound came from. Judy was muttering sorry to my mate he just stood there in a daze before catching himself and rushing out the backdoor. I saw Max got up and follow him out. What's with that? I wonder.

I woke up in the middle of the night feeling restless that I couldn't keep my eyes close any longer. The babies kicking play a part in waking me up but I know that's not the only thing that woke me up. I got up finally giving up on trying to go back to sleep. Putting on my fluffy slippers I went down stairs in the kitchen to grab a warm glass of milk. Everybody has turn in for the remainder of the night. Once in the kitchen I made myself a warm glass of milk but apparently that woke up the worms and I felt hungry. I looked into the refrigerator and found half of a cheese cake. My mouth waters at the sight of it. Surely no one would miss this if I took it. Taking the cake out I grab a fork and dig into the delicious goodness of the cheese cake. Boy did this taste really good.

"I see you can't sleep as well." I jumped at the voice. I'll know that voice from anyway after all it has such a powerful effect on me. My eyes narrow a little at him.

"What are you doing here?" I ask irritated that I was interrupted from enjoying my delicious cake.

"Like you I couldn't sleep so I came down here. I didn't know anyone was here." He explains. His face takes on a serious look. "Brella please here me out. I....... it's... I'm sorry for what I did to you. I didn't mean to hurt you. Just let me explain."

"You should be sorry for what you did to me. Do you have any idea what I've been through?" I held up my hand to cut him off from what he's going to say. "I mean you leave me with a freaking note telling me you don't want me. That broke my heart than any other thing."

He hung his head in shame. Good he should feel bad for what he did. "As much as I don't want to ever see you again I can't do that for the sake of our children. I'm not going to be those bad mothers who keep a grudge and deprive my kids of their father. I'll make some arrangement for you to visit them."

His head shout up and his eyes flair up at me as he speaks. "I'm their father and I will not be spending any less time with them. They will be living with me along with you my mate. The next Alpha female of my pack. I'll make you understand Brella."

I folded my arms in front of my chest. "Oh and how do you plan on doing that?" I challenge

As fast as my eyes can see he appear in front of me taking my face in his arms as he whisper two words to me. "Like this." His lips met mine. As soon as the connection was made my body burst out with electricity sparks coursing through my body something I cannot comprehend. His tongue licked my bottom lip asking for entrance which I grant all too easily. Our tongues explore each other enjoying his minty taste. My body explode even more. All too soon he pulls away leaving me breathing heavily. I was surprise I didn't fall with the weight I'm carrying because my legs feels like total jelly.

His hot breath fanned my face as he's still close to me. My mind's in a daze that I couldn't push him away. "You can't deny the bond and neither can I any longer. Sooner or later you'll be mind." He said. As he rests his hand on my stomach, as if the kids know their father touch. They began kicking like crazy. I bet he could feel them kicking cause I sure as hell can. His wide eyes confirm my guess he place a kiss on my forehead and left leaving me standing their cursing the mate bond. No doubt I won't be going back to sleep soon.
