Belliignton Elementary school
Kaley whimpered to Kevin, ‘I heard this school can be tough, but don't worry, we have each other.’ “Yeah, we'll stick together. No one can mess with us.” Kyle added.
In the school hallway, a group of students approaches them, sneering and laughing at them. “Look who we have here, newbies. You think you can just waltz in and fit in?” Stanlie mocked, walking close to them.
“We don't want any trouble. We're just here to learn like everyone else.” Kevin plea.
“Why are you pleading? It's not like we did something wrong. They are bullies and should be reported to the head mistress.” Kaley said to Kevin.
“Oh, how cute, they're talking back. Let's see how tough they really are.” Charles answered mockingly.
Kaley threatened, “Mess with us, and you'll regret it. We may be new, but we're not weak. Don't underestimate us.” The bullies exchange glances, momentarily taken aback by the triplets' confidence.
“You heard her. Back off.” Kyle uttered, moving closer to the bullies. Suddenly, Kevin steps in, calmly diffusing the tension.
“We don't want to fight. We just want to be left alone. Now, if you'll excuse us, we have a class to attend.” Kevin pulled kaley and Kyle away. He knows if he hasn't done that, they would have caused a scene back there.
The bullies, slightly intimidated, also back away, leaving the triplets go their way.
Kaley, Kyle and Kevin entered their class, wide-eyed and nervous. “Hello students, these are your new classmates.” Mrs. Thompson muttered, hugging the three of us.
“Will you guys just stand there? Won't you tell us your name?” Matt asked, and winked at them.
“Be nice, Matt. These are your new classmates,don’t scare them out.” Mrs. Thompson warned. “Introduce yourselves and let us move into today's activity.
Kaley moved forward and said, “Hi everyone, My Name is a Kaley. This is my brothers, Kyle and Kevin.
Later, during lunchtime, The triplets sit together in the cafeteria, chatting animatedly about their morning. “I made a new friend in math class. His name's Alex. He's nice.” Kevin grinned.
“That's great, Kevin! I met Lily during recess. She's in our class too. We played tag together.” kaley uttered. The triplets ate a hamburger and orange juice for lunch. They could feel the eyes of the other students on them while eating.
‘Are they Newbies?’ the first kid asked. ‘Wow, they’re triplets’, the other kid said. We could feel a lot of people talking about us.
“Well, I had a little showdown with those bullies earlier. They won't bother us again, I promise.” Kyle mumbled, while Kevin stared at him, ‘Always remember mom said we shouldn't get into a fight’
Just then, Lily and Alex approach their table, smiling warmly. “Hey, we saw what happened earlier. You guys handled it really well.” lily smiled and gave us a thumbs up.
“Yeah, you guys are pretty cool for standing up to them.” Alex added.
‘Thanks, it means a lot. We're just looking out for each other.’ We're a team, the strongest team there is.’ Kaley muttered, while we give ourselves a high five.
In the afternoon, the school have already closed and Mom haven't come to pick us. It's unusual of her. She always come on time. The kids waited in the schoolyard looking worried.
After two hours, their mon, Amelia rushed towards them apologizing for coming late. ‘I’m sorry kids, I got caught up at work, but I promise I'll make it up to you.’ Amelia promised, pulling the kids into a big hug.
Kyle looked concerned, “Mom, you said you'd be here on time. We were worried.”
“I know, I know, and I feel terrible about it. But guess what? I brought ice cream for all of you on the way back!” The kids grinned and kissed their mom on the cheek.
‘Ice cream? Well, I guess that makes up for being late.’ “It's okay, Mom. We understand you have to work. Just promise you'll be here on time tomorrow, okay? Kevin uttered, pulling away from the hug.
‘I promise, my little superheroes. Now, let's go home and enjoy your ice creams. And tomorrow, I'll make sure I'm here on time, no matter what.’ Amelia promised.
They arrived home but were surprised they saw a guest in the house. It's Desmond, Amelia’s boss. How could he locate her?
She was shocked and at the same time surprised because she doesn't know why he couldn't inform her first before coming.
