“What do you mean?” I asked “Lottie said the same, but I don’t get it? To me she smells like wolf and her scent is just as we were told a mate's would be.”
“She doesn’t smell like a wolf Malachi, she smells human, most of the time. I thought it might be because she was living with one, but, well, you don’t smell what we do”
“What do you mean…? Most of the time?” I asked, as Mattie continued to silently take in our exchange.
“Occasionally, when she smells like a wolf, but then it goes. I noticed it’s mainly when she is relaxed. That hasn’t happened much since we have been around her, so I can’t be certain, but it certainly seems that way.”
