Chapter 13 – Mate
Malachi’s POV
I had known her for only a day, yet I had the distinct impression she wasn’t someone who allowed herself to be seen vulnerable often. When Avery spoke about her, he always commended her for her confident and self-assured manner.
I smiled warmly, “Not at all. I would be honoured if you accepted to be my chosen mate, Lottie. But don’t you worry about finding your fated mate? What then?”
“I’m almost at the point where I figured, if I was going to meet him, I would have by now. We never have any contact with the Blackfell pack and from what I hear about them, I am not sure I would want to be mated to any of them. Other than your pack, I am out of options. I am unlikely to meet other shifters. If things carry on, the Goddess will have us mating with humans
