Jason abruptly pulled away. His chair scraped against the carpet and slammed into the wall as he stood up. The professor took several awkward steps back. "No, Dan. This is wrong. We've got to stop. It never should have gotten this far."
Dan surprisingly backed away as well. He spoke calmly and evenly. "If that's what you want, Professor Montell. I know you're just playing hard to get. That's almost as much fun as playing to get hard! Another day, we can play some more."
The young man sauntered out of the office without saying another word. Dan left the door open and disappeared down the corridor.
Jason removed his tie which suddenly felt like it was strangling him. He took a deep breath and sat back down at his desk. The professor shook his head while he talked to himself.
