What I detest the most is when another vampire is getting interested on my very own prey.
For me, it spoils my excitement for my victim’s blood.
If someone suddenly got interested to my dinner for tonight, it means that the woman’s blood is not rare and exquisite enough to be needed.
And when that happens, I immediately disregard that certain prey and find another who would only be mine.
I don’t intend to share. And getting an argument with another vampire just for blood is not really my thing.
But for some reason, I can raise hell just for Arliah.
“I thought you’re tired that’s why you can’t have dinner with me. Why are you here, darling?” I said between gritted teeth. A smile is wounding on my lips but what I was feeling was the contrary.
I dislike the fact that other vampires is trying to touch my property. And what added to that irritation and frustration that I was feeling at the moment is when I saw that this vampire sticking his nose around to my prey is one of the vampires that pissed me off.
I am the kind of person who could control my anger over everything else. I am not easily triggered with something trivial. But for some reason, I did not know the reason why am I suddenly on edge and why the anger in me keeps on losing its control at the sight of Javier Buenavista with Arliah.
“If I had known you were not yet tired, I should have waited for you so we could have dinner together.” I added as I continued my way toward their direction.
This is the first that I feel so… displeased for what I am seeing. As if it I was the sleeping beast in me was about to wake.
It was already a pain in the ass that Javier was also invited in Ian’s wedding.
The reason why I hated him? Well, I just hate him.
And as much as I am against in Ian’s decision, I have no rights to tell Ian not to invite that man.
Ian knows my disagreement with Javier but he ask a favor not to create any conflict with the bastard on his wedding.
Of course, I did. The last thing I wanted to happen was to ruin Ian’s happiest day in his life.
But… first thing first.
What the hell is that bastard doing with Arliah? And as for her, I thought she wanted to retire for tonight that’s why she can’t have a dinner with me? So, why the hell is she out of her room and she’s with Javier?
Don’t tell me… that bastard also realizes that Arliah has…unique scent of blood?
“What are you doing here?” Arliah asked as soon as I arrived in front of them. She looked at me wearing a blank expression. I looked straight into her eyes.
“My friends and I happen to plan to have some drinks here then I saw you.” I replied. I could feel Javier’s eyes on me. But he doesn’t deserve my attention unless he will do something that would displease me.
“It seemed that you’re boyfriend is here to fetch you, Leah.” Javier said which made me looked at him. My brows furrowed at his words.
Boyfriend?
I looked back to Arliah. Her expression did not even change a bit. She shot a glance to Javier and I clenched my fist when I saw how her expression warmed up a bit.
“He’s not my boyfriend.” Arliah corrected as she shook her head. There is a small smile on her lips.
What the actual fvck? What the fvck did he do and he managed to get Arliah’s attention?
I inhaled a deep breath. And my attention focused on the woman in front of me when I smell a familiar scent on her…
The hell?
Did she drink?
I shot back my eyes to Javier. This bastard also reeks of alcohol.
“Oh. Is that so.” Javier reacted and throw me a glance once again, this time, there is a smug on his face. I clicked my neck to one side. I suddenly have this urge to smash his face on the floor. If it was not for Arliah and the fact that we are in a public place, I might end up doing so.
“Well then, I should take my leave now. It was nice meeting you, Leah.” Javier brought back his gaze to Arliah and gave her a smile. Then he shot me a glance and nodded his head in recognition before he turned his back against us.
My eyes followed him making his way out of the resto-bar. And if it was not for Arliah, leaving without a word, I might end up rooted on my place while still looking at that Buenavista’s back with hostility.
“Hey, wait up!” I called out as I ran for her. Instead of stopping to wait for me, she continued walking out without looking back.
I exhaled a loud breath.
I saw my friends on the other end of the room. They already found their place. They looking at me. One quick meaningful glance to my friends and they already know that I can’t join them for tonight. They already understood the situation.
We decided to go here after the reception-party. Everyone had retire for tonight and I have no other things to do so I invited my friends to stay up all night.
Before we got inside this very resto-bar earlier, I saw Javier inside this building. I was about to drag my friends out of the place—since I don’t really want to be in the same room with Buenavista—if I did not scented the familiar fragrance of Arliah coming from here.
I continued following Arliah who is making her way out of the premises. And before she could get away, I grabbed her wrist to stop her from running away from me.
“I told you to wait for me.” I hissed. She turned around and shot me a warning look then pulled her hand away with great force. I let her go and in return, she almost fell. It was a good thing that I manage to catch her on time.
“Damn it. How many glass did you drink?” I ask as hold her wrist to assist her balance.
“Let go of me, bastard…” she grumbled. Her eyes squinted as she tried to get away. I exhaled another deep breath and let her have what she wanted. But I ensure that she won’t fall this time.
She turned her back without saying anything.
“Why are you with that man?” I asked as I started tailing behind her. “Do you know each other?”
She did not stop and did not even say a word. I manage to catch up and walk on her side to see her expression and to know if she heard me.
“Tell me? Do you know that bastard?” I hissed.
“None of your business,” she slurred.
“Did that man approach you?”
“So?”
“So, he approached you.”
She immediately stop on her tracks and faced me, as if she was suddenly losing her patience at me.
“What is it to you?” she spat angrily. I shifted on my place.
“I told you that I am interested in you. Of course I would be irritated to see you with another man.”
Fvck. I did not even know why I am telling her the truth.
“Wow. I did not know you wanted your woman to be only exclusively yours, playboy. That’s new to my hearing. Is this your ego speaking?”
I gritted my teeth upon hearing that. The strong smell of alcohol is coming from her. I think she is really drunk. She does not even stop herself from voicing out her opinion about me.
Well, it’s not that I am denying the fact that this woman is not a challenge to me.
She is… the first woman who give no interest in me. Or should I say, who put so much effort not to be tempted by me.
In truth, I could get any women that I wanted without efforts. In a flick of my fingers, they are already begging on their knees. A little seduction and I could already ensure that I have my blood-dinner for tonight.
But this woman… she won’t just give in. I have this feeling that she would not dare to give me a second look if I don’t continue bothering her.
“I’ll be honest with you then…” I said as I move closer. She made a step back but before she could get away again, I snaked my hand on her back and pulled her closer to me. Her hands were automatically on my chest.
I inhaled a deep breath when bolts of sensation run through every nerve endings of my body at the warmth of her touch.
Fvck.
“Like what I told you earlier, I want more from you.” I whispered. I leaned closer and crouch a bit until my lips was almost touching her ear.
“I want to taste” your blood “you. And yes, I want your body, I want to have hot s*x with you. I want every inch of you, everything. I won’t stop until I get you. But if you allowed me, I’ll promise that I will give you the best day of your life.”
Fvck. I shut my eyes tight, just so I could get a hold of myself with her scent lingering on my system.
“So… give in to me, darling.”
