Daniel's POV
"Yes, I am serious."
I stared at Russell as if that were the best news I had ever heard. Then, she was still smiling as if she were seducing me. My world seemed to stop at that moment.
"Jeez, Daniel, straighten up. Even if you're handsome, it's still scary when you stare like that." She suddenly stood up from sitting on the sand.
My smile widened suddenly. I stood up, noticed Russell's reaction, and couldn't hide my joy. I suddenly approached her, but she also suddenly stepped back.
"Don't touch me..." she said as she held one hand out, signaling me to "stop."
But I didn't respond to that signal; instead, I stepped closer to her, and she stepped back.
"Oh my god, Daniel... Stop approaching!"
"I'm just going to hug my wife, who made me happy today."
