Daniel’s POV
“Jeez, dude, I was very nervous about you earlier. I thought you were dead serious.”
Ryker called me after they talked to their family, and as expected, their family disapproved of Russell’s behavior. I’m not serious when I say I’ll send Russell to jail, but I have to convince her to be shocked, which works.
I turned around when I heard someone knocking on the door. “I love your sister, and you know that. I can’t do the things I told her I would do.”
I approached the door and watched as the doorknob moved and knocks came from outside. When the knocking stopped, I inhaled deeply. I don’t want to do that, but I have to do it to stop Russell from doing what she is doing.
I know that she was only forced to marry me, but she was the one who kept me going with my plan all along
