Tatiana's eyes flashed with fury and helplessness, and several indecipherable emotions flickered past them.
Her fist clenched the phone in her hand, and she simply clicked on the little children's live video that had been trending. Every nurse and patient around her seemed to be talking about those kids, making her have the extreme urge to watch the children they were talking about.
Somehow, Tatiana felt that the content of the video was related to her, so she simply clicked on the video to watch.
The minute Tatiana heard the mention of the time the children’s mom went missing, her body shook, and she bit her lower lips…
“Maverick still hasn't visited yet?” Amell's voice suddenly interrupted Tatiana's thoughts.
As soon as Amell's voice drifted into Tatiana's ears, he gently strode into the ward while holding two paper bags containing fruits and a lunchbox each.
Tatiana quickly shut off her phone and placed it next to her. She trembled, and she raised her eyes to reveal red-rimmed eyes.
Tatiana bit her lower lip demurely; her face fell, and she shook her head with tears in her eyes. “Maverick hasn't. He must be busy with the company….”
Tatiana paused and sniffed pitifully. “He cannot be visiting the hospital daily for Tatiana. It's Tatiana's fault for getting sick. It's just that Tatiana missed Maverick too much.” Tatiana's face reddened shyly at her confession, yet her eyes reddened and tears pooled in her eyes at the thought of how she hadn't seen Maverick for days.

Tatiana's heart ached on their behalf, so Tatiana went to watch it for fun. It's not…” Tatiana paused, blinked, and bit her lower lips anxiously. Her lips parted and closed repeatedly as if to say something.
“I know Maverick had nothing to do with that woman called Valencia; she was only a substitute, right? She can't be the woman in the children's video, right?”
Amell's brows furrowed in confusion. He stared at Tatiana in bewilderment. “You mean Valencia is back?”

Tatiana’s expression changed into panic, and she hurriedly shook her head as if Amell had quoted her wrong: “No. No. Tatiana believes in Maverick…” She suddenly paused and stared into the distance.
Her body shook, and her fist clenched. “If Maverick is really interested in that person, Tatiana is willing to let Maverick go. If Maverick wants that person, Tatiana is willing to let go.” She suddenly broke down into tears; her eyes were red and her face was extremely pale.

It felt as if Amell’s heart was punched deeply, making it hurt extremely, and his eyes reddened on her behalf.
He extended his heart towards her shaking body, but in the next second, he retracted his hand. After doing the same motion three or four times, he finally wrapped his hands around her shoulder and gently patted her shoulder.
”Don't cry anymore. Maverick will never let you down for that woman.” Amell suddenly pursed his gloomy lips. “I'll see Maverick tonight.”

The number picked up Tatiana's call at the first ring. Tatiana's countenance turned cold, and she began to convey in a cold voice, “I need you to check if Valencia Carter is in the country and if she has met Maverick already. I want a reply in less than three days.”
“p*****t?” A lazy and deep masculine voice immediately retorted.
Disgust flickered past Tatiana's, but despite that, she calmly replied, “Original.”
The man at the other end suddenly laughed as if he had just heard something funny. “You're in Lex now; how do I f**k you?” he uttered bluntly.

As soon as Tatiana conveyed her sentence, she threw her phone next to her in anger. She clenched her fist, hatred swirling in her orbs.
It's Valencia, that b***h fault, so Valencia had to pay.
Suddenly, a thought flickered in her mind, and her expression changed. She picked up her phone and resolved to call Maverick.
Hopefully, Maverick will pick up her call this time.
