Victor I wake up with the first sun-rays peaking through the blackout deep blue curtains in Ian’s bedroom. There were no nightmares this time so I am counting it as win. Ian is still asleep, still hugging me but now he is on his side, his back pushing to my front just like in my hotel room. Unlike then though there are no text messages on my phone, ready to summon me to my past and ruin me again. Even if there are, I am not risking this perfect moment to check. I suddenly don’t want the rest of the world to invade this little bubble of intimacy and instinctively press Ian even firmer to myself. In his sleep he lets out a content sigh. I have no idea how much time passes like this. I am just glad my head is clear enough for me to focus on the present, and that my wolf is not scratching
