I woke up to the feeling of an empty bedside. My eyes opened to see Caleb's side empty.
I panicked, my heart beating fast as I sat up on my bed and scanned the room for Caleb.
A scary feeling crept inside me when I saw no sign of Caleb. My bedroom door was closed and my bathroom was open. There was no sound of the shower running. Nothing.
I closed my eyes as I tried to not imagine the one thing that I scared most, him leaving me.

I shook my head. He wouldn't do that. He promised he wouldn't hurt me.

My instinct told me so I got up from the bed, out of my room and downstairs. He was not in the living room.
