7. Fish In A BarrelThe vehicle backed down the track the way Hal had done then turned to continue on its way from where it had come. Sabienn knew he was moving away from his brothers Deep and Bray to be in the company of Shyne, who was also his brother, be it one who wanted to kill him.
After a long pause, Shyne turned to Sabienn. “So, Captain Deathwish,” said Shyne politely, using Sabienn’s nickname from school. “This is awkward. Do you know these people?”
“We met in Flee,” said Sabienn quietly. “They’re gun runners. They use live bait for target practice. Just got out by the skin of our teeth. The head man’s called Skayde.”
There was a pause before Shyne spoke up, “Well I hope they shoot straight. I’m a dead man either way.”
“Cole’s alive,” said Sabienn. “Though I nearly killed him.”
