Triana withdrew her gaze from the entrance and perceived the sight of Moana glaring at her. She provocatively smiled at her, waggling her eyebrows up and down.
Moana's face twisted up, her expression sour. She stomped her feet and dashed out the door.
Clack-Clack-Clack…
The sound of her shoes clacking hung in the air.
Gayle scowled at Triana and said, "Come with me." He strode out.
Triana rolled her eyes, frustrated. But she followed him like an obedient child.
Only when she entered the packhouse did Triana realize it was bigger than that of the silver pack. She took a look around as she proceeded forward. The walls were painted white and adorned with many contemporary paintings. A cylindrical sconce above each of the paintings radiated yellow light.
"Huge" was an understatement to describe the size of the hall. In front of the hearth, there was a big L-shaped sofa, two three-seaters, and a sculptural settee.
Triana bent her neck backward as she looked at the numerous rooms scattered from the ground floor to the third floor. She had no idea how many rooms were there.
"Alpha’s room is on the third floor." Gayle’s voice brought her back to reality.
She nodded and walked up to the third floor, following close behind him. Gayle halted his steps in front of a large wooden carving door. He looked back at her.
"Here it is." He nodded to the door. He came a bit closer to her and murmured, "Don’t show your arrogance in front of him if you don’t want trouble." He walked away after warning her.
Triana glanced back at his departing form, twisting her mouth. Then she pushed open the door and went in.
Blaze was standing by a French window, staring out, his hands on his back. His muscles tensed when the familiar sweet flowery aroma hit his nostrils. He lifted his chin to sniff the air. He slowly turned around and saw Triana standing beside the door.
Her charm enticed him once more. He couldn’t pull his eyes away from her. His legs began to move involuntarily toward her. It was as if an unseen force dragged him to her. He stood right in front of her, his gaze sweeping over her curvy figure and eventually settling on her slender waist.
Her belly button was apparent beneath the thin linen as her dress clung to her body. Below it was her white panties.
‘Fuck.’
The wolf within him groaned inside his head, ready to claim her. Blaze felt his crotch tightening. He swallowed the lump as he watched the waistband of her panties. As the desire mounted, his wolf kept groaning. Even when he was with Alma, he had never felt such intense desire. All he wanted was to press her against the wall and claim her.
‘I want her, I want her,’ his wolf, Roz, cried inside his head. ‘She is all mine.’
Blaze clenched and unclenched his jaw, fighting the mounting desire. He closed his eyes and blocked Roz, forcefully pushing him away. Roz whimpered and disappeared from his mind.
Blaze turned back and said in a stern voice, "Go change your dress. You’ll find some clothes in my closet."
Triana lowered her gaze to herself. It was only then that she realized her body under the thin, wet white gown was almost exposed to everyone. She gasped and covered her chest with her hands. It turned out that Blaze was ogling her body all the time. This notion infuriated Triana. Her nostrils flared as she glared at him. She had the impression that smoke was coming out of her ears.
"You scoundrel…" she snapped. "You are shamelessly eye f*****g me! Aren’t you ashamed of taking advantage of a helpless woman? Bastard." She stormed into the bathroom.
"f**k… This woman's razor-sharp tongue." Blaze groaned and grimaced, pinching his brow.
Triana continued to curse him. "I have never seen such a shameless, callous person." She took off her clothes. "I'm not going to spare him if he thinks about taking advantage of me. Humph."
She dumped her wet, dirty clothes into the laundry basket and went to the shower room. She turned on the shower after sliding the curtain closed.
"Mm..." Triana moaned when the tepid water started to fall upon her. She pushed her hair back and raised her face towards the shower. The water poured on her face like raindrops. She wiped her face and looked around to find the toiletries. On the shelf, she found male and female toiletries.
"Oh, these must be Blaze’s ex, Alma’s," Triana murmured.
She stretched her hand and picked up a male shower gel, as she had no intention of using Alma’s.
Triana had a sense of envy towards Alma. She was not sure why she had this feeling. But she began to despise her the moment she learned Alma had cheated on Blaze. It could be because she disliked cheaters as well. After all, her boyfriend had also betrayed her.
Triana shrugged, attempting to push the unwanted thoughts away. She squirted the gel onto her palm and rubbed it all over her body.
"Mm…" She inhaled the scent of the shower gel, which smelled like fresh rain. "It smells so good." She closed her eyes, scrubbing her body with a sponge.
After washing her body thoroughly, she turned off the shower and came out, pushing the curtain aside. Only then did she realize that she hadn’t brought a fresh cloth.
"s**t…" Triana groaned, pressing her brow with her fingers. She bit her bottom lip and took a look around. She saw a white towel hanging on the towel holder.
Triana had no choice but to take the towel and wrap it around herself. She opened the door in a narrow crack and peered outside, checking if Blaze was around. She heaved a small sigh as she didn’t see him.
"Phew, he is not here," Triana murmured.
She stepped out of the bathroom with a smile but almost bumped into Blaze on the threshold. She inhaled sharply and stepped aside. Her smile had vanished by now. She stared into his eyes, trying to figure out what he had on his mind.
Blaze also kept his gaze fixed on her. When their gazes locked, their hearts began to beat faster. Sparks flew in their veins. The desire to mate with each other intensified.
Triana stepped back further as Blaze approached her. She almost yelped when her back struck the wall. She clasped the hem of the towel when she saw him inching further towards her.
"Who are you?" Blaze asked, taking another step towards her. He c****d his head and gave her an inquisitive look. "Are you a spy from the rogue gang?"
Triana shook her head slowly. "I am neither a rogue nor a spy," she said, her voice faltering. His proximity made her nervous. But she put on a brave face and asserted, "I told you that I’m a lone wolf."
She hesitated to tell him her true identity, fearing that he would send her to the Black Moon Pack, which was once the Silver Pack… her pack. Unfortunately, her people ousted her.
"You still have time to tell me the truth," Blaze stated coldly as he moved closer to her. The distance between them was getting closer and closer. "Reveal your identity. Otherwise…" He observed her from head to toe without completing the sentence.
Triana’s hands flew to her chest instinctively in an attempt to cover her boobs. "What do you mean?" she asked.
"Do I need to explain it?" Blaze asked back a question.
Triana’s eyes widened when she realized that Blaze was planning to take advantage of her. "Don't get any closer," she snapped, twisting her mouth. Step back." She lifted her hands to push him away.
In a flash, Blaze grabbed her wrists and pinned them above her head against the wall. Triana’s breathing hitched as she stared at him with wide eyes, scared. She was now trapped between him and the wall.
Blaze locked his eyes on her. His gaze slowly moved down to her rosy lips, which appeared juicy. He wanted to taste them. He’d like to find out if those were as sweet as they appeared.
Blaze gradually lowered his head, his lips parting a bit. Their faces were so close that only a thin sheet of paper could pass between them.
Triana’s thick eyelashes trembled when Blaze’s heavy breathing fanned on them. She unconsciously held her breath, looking at his enlarged face. She knew he would kiss her any minute. Ever since she had seen him, she had desired to kiss him. Now her wish was coming true. Her lips quivered in anticipation. She got close enough to him to take the initiative to kiss him.
In the meantime, Blaze held up a letter in front of her face. Triana moved her gaze to the letter and settled on the logo, which showed a ferocious black wolf emerging from the moon.
Her cheeks blanched in an instant, and her stomach tightened. She had the impression that time had frozen. She didn’t expect that the alpha of the Black Moon pack would track her down so quickly. This notion was enough to make her blood run cold.
‘No… This can’t be happening.’
