The guards who had been stationed at the dungeon the night before congregated on the training ground. None of them could raise their heads in front of Gayle. Besides, they hadn't forgotten how brutally Blaze murdered the rogues. They trembled in fear, believing that Blaze would kill them all. "What were you doing when the rogues broke the cells and escaped?" This was Gayle’s first question. His cold voice sent shivers down their spines. "We fell asleep," one of the guards replied, his voice faltering. "You were all sleeping so soundly that you didn't hear a thing!" Gayle snarled. "Didn't you know the rogues were locked up in the dungeon? Instead of staying vigilant, you were sleeping!" "We are ashamed," all the guards began to apologize. "Please forgive us. We won’t repeat the mistake.
