CHAPTER FOURThe sea became very rough in the Bay of Biscay. Orlina found that she did not feel the least seasick, although she had never been to sea before. She enjoyed watching the yacht battling against the huge waves as both René and Penny retired to their cabins. After they had been away for more than twenty-four hours, Orlina said somewhat tentatively to Sarah, “Are they ill? Ought I to do anything?” “It’s quite alright,” Sarah replied to her, “they are just worried about their legs.” As Orlina looked at her enquiringly, she explained, “They are both dancers and, if they would damage their legs, they are out of a job.” “Oh, I understand,” Orlina said. “It was silly of me not to think of it before.” It meant, however, that Sarah was delighted to have the three men to herself.
