I woke up with my phone plastered to my ear and the bed covers pulled away from me. I groaned, stretched, sat up in bed, then blinked a few times before getting back to my senses.
It took me a minute to figure what had happened and how I'd ended up in my awakening situation. Spikes. I quickly picked my phone up from beside me and checked the call log. The phone call had lasted two hours. That was so cute.
I smiled at the phone, mentally promising myself that I'd dial him later. My smile dropped when I remembered what had led to the phone call in the first place. Job. And still, there were no missed calls nor explanatory messages from him.
I didn't want to make a fear filled conclusion. I made up my mind to go to his place after working in the store for a while.
I got out of bed and headed for the bathroom to freshen up for the day's activities. That was one of the best nights I had experienced in my lifetime.

"Miss Lana, a representative from the Span-" My secretary began as I answered the phone from her but I didn't let her finish.
"Send him in." I commanded and hung up. I cleared the unnecessary papers that were filled with sales in the store, from my desk and put them all in my drawer.
A few minutes later, a little knock came on my door.
"Come in." I announced and he did just as told without any hesitation.
A smile spread on my face and for some unknown reasons, I was glad at his presence. He returned the smile and it honestly did complement his facial features.
"Good morning." He said, pulling the chair just across from me and sitting on it without being asked. "Someone looks like they had a beauty sleep."
"Oh yeah, tell me when you're done teasing me." I rolled my eyes as I pulled my drawer out to check for a pen.
He tapped his fingers on the table, in a drum-like pattern. "Well you sure look like you had one."
"I did." I nodded in response and received the papers from him. "I owe you a thank you for that."
I began to sign on all the necessary places as I read through the contract. It was highly in favour with my store sales and with the taste of that snacks, we'd be sold out in no time. They even had a buy two, get one free, sales. This was gain on my side, getting a forty percent bonus on every sale.
"Need I mention, you have a lovely voice." I said unconsciously.
"I do?" He smirked. "Wait till you hear me play the guitar. Your eyes will go boom!" He chuckled.
"Hear you play? My eyes? Shouldn't it be ears?" I raised an eyebrow at him and returned my gaze to the contract.
"No, I wouldn't want your ears to go boom, I need them so they can hear me play." He said and I handed him back the contract, fully signed and approved, laughing a little at the said words.
"What? Why are you looking at me like that? Do I have to leave now that I've signed the papers?" He furrowed his eyebrows. I really loved his Spanish accent, it sounded like he was speaking Spanish, but in English.
"Not exactly." I giggled, "you can stay for a while. I'm not exactly busy as you can see." I lied, not knowing why especially since I had my hands full for today and I still had to make time to go over to Job's.
"Great. So what can we talk about?" He asked.
"I don't know, anything that pops in your head. If you're asking me for a conversation starter, it would be boring and we'd have nothing interesting to say." I shrugged and he nodded in response, spinning around playfully in his chair.
"Okay. Have you been to Mexico before?" He began, folding his arms across his chest.
I shook my head in response.
"Yeah you totally should. If you haven't already decided, I'd suggest you go there for your honeymoon." He told me.
Honeymoon. That brought back memories that I still had to see Job, again.I stared at his lips as he spoke, they seemed so familiar. Like, I'd seen them somewhere before. I was lost in my trial to recollect why, that I lost track of his spoken words.
Next thing I know, his lips were getting closer. I furrowed my eyebrows and looked up but it was too late. His lips crashed against mine very gently.
I let out a shocked gasp but before I could argue, he parted my lips with his and I found myself closing my eyes with an approving moan. I cupped his cheeks and sucked on his lower lips intensively.
"Job." I moaned into his mouth. That was when realization of my act dawned on me and I pulled away as quick as I could. Job!
I stood to my feet in shock and fear overpowered me. He did the same and tried to grip my wrist as I panted heavily but I didn't let him. Without caring that he was still in my office, I dashed out of there on full speed.
I felt like I had sinned against Job as I headed to his house. Why would Spikes kiss me? It was so uncalled for. My hands trembled and I felt as if I had cheated big time. I had to tell this to Job.

Job's pov
A loud knock coming from downstairs brought me out of a deep slumber. I had stayed up pretty late last night, drinking and getting wasted, having s*x with Jace.
I stared at a sprawled out naked Jace on my bed and wiped my eyes. The knock didn't stop but she was too wasted to even know someone was at the door.
Just then, the knock stopped and I got out of bed, I pulled my boxers on and got ready to answer whoever it was that was there. My phone beeped on the couch in my room and I frowned at it.
I picked it up and scanned its content. "Shit." I cussed. It was a text from Lana. She was f*****g downstairs. Wait, she was downstairs!
"s**t, s**t, s**t!" I ranted as I walked up to the bed. I tapped her harshly so she'd get up, all to no avail.
"Leave me the f**k alone." She mumbled under a sleepy breath. She pulled the pillow over her head and resumed sleeping.
The knocks resumed and I got angrier at Jace. "b***h get up! Lana is f*****g downstairs."
With that, her ears shot up and her eyes came wide awake. "What?!" She panicked, getting up and pulling the bed sheets to wrap herself.
She looked like hell, her hair was a mess. "What do we do?!" She bit on her fingernails in fear. "Do we wait here till she goes eventually?"
"No, no. You know Lana just as much as I do. You know it won't be long before she dials the cops." I said, knowing how many missed calls I'd got from her would worry her sick.
"f**k. Job what do we do? We're dead." She trembled, clutching tight to me.
"Wait, I'll fix this, calm down." I said, pulling my pants on. I picked up a T-shirt from the floor and pulled it on as well. "Just stay here, trust me. Don't leave okay?" I assured her, grabbing my car keys.
I gulped as I made my way for downstairs. I stopped by the kitchen to splash water on my face and rid myself of morning breathe.
I took a deep breathe in and swung the door open. Her hand was lifted for another knock by the time she came to my view. She seemed surprised to see me.
"Job!" She gasped and pulled me in so tight that I felt I would eventually choke. "I - I thought something terrible had happened to you, I was so worried, I called..." She ranted on and on as she pulled away.
I hushed her with my index finger over her lips. "I'm so sorry. I'll explain on the way." I spoke so fast. I knew I was doing things wrong and so I didn't want Lana to catch me in bed especially with her best friend.
"On the way to where?" She seemed confused and suspicious of the way I was trying so hard to prevent her from coming inside the house.
"You'll find out." I gulped, pulling her towards the car.
"Ow, you're hurting my wrist!" She yelled behind me. I was very aware but I didn't want to risk having her run into the house. I turned to look at her face, and it was winced in pain. I felt terrible but I had a lot to think about right now.
I successfully got her into the car and locked the doors from inside, panting heavily.
"Job what the hell is going on?" She asked me again.
"I'm so sorry about yesterday, I couldn't find the time to call you nor text." I spoke in rushed tones, starting the car and pulling out of the driveway.
"Where are we headed?!" She seemed to be panicking.
"Calm down girl. You see, remember those invites you spoke to me about making? Let's get them done now. I want to make up for lost hours, again." I said.
Lana
Job was acting strange. Too strange for me to handle and I wasn't buying it. Something was wrong. He had said we weren't going to make invites because they were wasteful.
"Job are you sure about this? You have dark circles under your eyes, you don't look like you've showered even." I pointed out. He looked like a mess from hell. "If you're that particular about getting things done in the right manner, at least go get ready. I'm patient enough to wait."
"No! Don't worry about me." He said, increasing the car's speed.
"This does not explain the phone calls you didn't answer properly, I mean I called you all of yesterday and not once did you return my-" He cut me off with a tense glare.
"Look here, I already explained, what on earth are you trying to point out?"
"Turn this car around Job. I don't want any invites done, let's talk. I have something to say to-" I frowned, as he was practically getting on my nerves.
"I'm not turning around. Lana don't try and be a bitch." He spat. His face was getting harsh.
"Well you're acting as if you were with another girl." I added in an almost inaudible voice after a few seconds.
With that, he brought the car to a quick halt. "What did you just say?"
"Well... It just seemed, I'm sorry-" I stuttered in fear at the way his gaze was making me feel intimidated.
"Oh so you can suggest that I'm being with another woman. So you're very aware that you deprive me of s**t I should have access to?" He smirked lustfully.
Before I knew what was going on, he was undoing his seat belt. He grinned and started the car. He resumed driving and parked the car properly on an empty road.
"Wh-what are you doing?" I gulped. He didn't give me a proper response. Instead, he raised his hands and next I knew, they landed on my boobs. I wanted to scream as memory from my high school assault flooded my head.
"Job..." I muttered instead, trying to slap his hands out but his grip was tight. He squeezed my breasts so tight, that they caused me pain. He forcefully ripped the hem of my shirt and let his hands land directly on them.r
"You just suggested I was out with a woman huh?" He whispered against my ear. "What was I doing with her then?" He chuckled, tracing his finger down my abdomen to my jeans.
"Job please don't, we have ninety six days left before we get married, be patient." I pleaded in such a low voice, out of fear of being raped, by my own fiance!
He was very aware of what had happened with Drake. He of all people knew of my trauma and he was taking advantage of it.
He wasn't listening, instead, he undid the zipper of my jeans.
