Chapter 3 Icy water slapped his face, and his eyes flew open. Instead of the blue sky he’d dozed off under, he was looking up at a mass of angry, leaden clouds. He tried to lever himself back up on the seat, but his legs had gone numb. Swearing, he used his hands to force his cramped limbs to move so he could sit up.
