I was in the room, watching Esmeralda and her friend Ivy perform some spells. They were trying to break the curse that prevented me from leaving this place. Apparently, they first had to understand what spell and type of magic they used. I didn't understand the technicalities, but I understood that this spell would allow me to go somewhere else — somewhere far away from Alexander.
Esmeralda presented Ivy as her lifetime friend. She is the mate of the werewolf king, but that doesn't make sense to me because I was supposed to be sold to the king. I asked them for his name to corroborate if what they told us was true, but when they presented the deal to my father, his name wasn't Kaid. Did they trick us? It seemed like it, meaning that my sacrifice was in vain.
